Lupus, I think the Early Romans are a must, even if it would be until the proper Lost Scrolls will be released.

Okay, so I bought and installed FoG, then SoA, then RoR.

Then I went to the Hoc est bellum website and downloaded the zip files for Morgarten, Bannockburn & Falkirk. Unzipped them and placed the folders in the FoG games directory alongside all the standard-issue games.

But when I try to New Game within FoG, I don't see the above three scenarios listed.

What am I missing?

EDIT:

Okay, figured it out from the Tech Support thread: viewtopic.php?t=16615

Suggestion: At the Hoc est bellum site, add installation instructions for blundering, clueless newbies like me. (Or maybe I missed that, too?)

Good idea, I will post something as soon as I have some time.

I just uploaded the working "preview" edition of Lost Scrolls for Rise of Rome.

Image

So, what's preview meaning? It's meaning, the release only contains the Early Republican Roman lists (one early and one late) including all possible allies. Download and instruction are on "Hoc est bellum". The other armies for RoR and a separate package for SoA will be released soon. Comments and error hints are very welcome.

Cheers

Not got round to looking for errors but I dont have the lost scroll book either yet, but I have downloaded and installed it fine and appears in the army lists to create armies with and looks great. Understand your comments about some images but they can be improved over time as you say. Great work Lupus - look forward to seeing the rest of Lost Scrolls finished in due course, and thanks for doing this project and all the time it must take, especially if Slitherine dont intend to release this as an official add-on. :)

Just played Morgarten, nice scenario :D

Perhaps it is a bit too small (I would have used twice the number of BGs and halved their strength)

The javelins of the swiss halberdiers are a nice touch. The intro text is very informative.

I will probably play it again as the Habsburgs.

Lupus, have you uploaded the starter armies to the website? IMO they are quite nice and useful.

BTW, I think that so far no user-created armies have been shared, but I think that it could be interesting to try armies designed by other people. Perhaps you could create a section devoted to user-created armies in your website?
