For your info, the exact error message is:
"Sorry, an error occurred while getting the game instance.
Network connection error (Code -1)"
I hope it's possible to solve this, or at least prevent it from happening again.

I had a different message when I sent the game...unfortunately I didn't copy it, but it said something to the effect of "not enough data sent"...

Hi guys
it looks like this issue is not recoverable. The server mistakenly took games that had not uploaded and stored them. This bug has been fixed for the future (after the patch) but games that are effected cannot be recovered. We're very sorry for the loss of some games and know this must be very frustrating.
We can only guess it is due to the increased load on the server with the release of RoR that has caused this issue to become more frequent. We are making changes to prevent this happening in future. The server will be told the file size of teh saved game and not accept any files smaller than that. If the files fails to send we're adding a retry button to resend instead of just failing and forcing you to replay the turn. We're going to add a backup system to allow us to roollback to previous turns in a game where some new unforseen issues crops up and we cannot fix it. Between these changes we hope to avoid these types of issues in future.
Again we can only apologise for the loss of your games but be sure we are doing all we can to rectify it.

Will you be able to clean up the dead games?

Yes it's on our list too. Just trying to get the initial bugs fixed and make sure all the promised features for RoR go in first.
