Madcam.
I remember going to Columbus last year and having McCambell finish first and me finish second. Let's see what OH can do at this coming US Teams event.

PentaCon is a small con, but it used to be much larger. It runs Fri-Sat, with a good mix of historical minis, non-historical minis, and RPGs. Its about the only thing going in northern IN gaming-wise this time of year. Who knows, maybe we could make it the biggest FoG con in the midwest!
Here's the con site:

As an FYI to all FoG players that here at GenCon, the guy who ran the FoW tournament and I have mentioned doing a FoG tourney next year. Still in the works but he thinks that would be awesome. He likes the game and I am a huge fan of it already and I have not even played a game yet!!! I will probably see him in the next few weeks and will pick his brain about doing just that. Just do not have the knowledge on how to run one, but then again that is what all of you are here for....right???
This is a reason why I want to promote the game as much as possible because it is similar to the people who do FoW. Gamers who enjoy the game, the history AND the fun of it.
I think promoting ANY Con is a great idea. Especially those ones that are less expensive than GenCon.

The offspring will form Beltway 2. Still better than the Ohio players.

I hear on the cactus vine that Dan, his daughter and two tamed coyotes will form the Arizona Bandits for Atlanta, and expect to slaughter Ohio......

Sorry, didn't count b/c the "real" Ohio team wasn't at that event....
How did you guys do in SW Ohio? Hell McCambell couldn't even beat our protege - Hurchanick.

I'm really going to try to make it to Indy on the 14th or the 21st and drag a few buddies to assist out on the teaching.
Preferably someone who knows the rules
We'll teach you how to actually play the game with some semblence of style!
Too bad your game does not correspond with the rules book.

...Knows the rules, or sniffs at the butt of the author to glean their "intent".
either way, we'll try to be there, how 'bout you?
did you really move out to Arizona?

No, but i am here/there a lot. We made sure the new daughter was born in Arizona so she could be the 6th generation from the state. Those traditions are worth keeping...Besides its a dry heat.

Didn't know you were expecting, I thought you just were retaining water/beer.
In all seriousness - CONGRATS!!!!
I expect my "un"-used official white house cigar the next time we see each other.
