In a bloody Civil War, here comes
a stolen DRAW !
Sorry, alex, you did well and you deserved that victory !
Maeglyr - Anglo-Irish & Irish (61% of losses)
against alexhstandish - English & Welsh (63% of losses)
63-61
My opponent outclassed me in all areas: recruitment, deployment, tactics, and strategy.
Everything was in place for a decisive defeat.
Except luck. Odious, insolent luck.
Archers disturbed or fragmented holding several turns in front of cavalry. Kerns dancing happily around the autobreak (and three enemy units) as they return from fragmented to steady (there must have been druids in that unit).
And, of course, three English generals who bite the dust in troubled circumstances.
It wasn’t me, I think there were some backs that encountered daggers.

Solemnace Tuareg 950CE-1500CE defeats Captainwaltersavage Portuguese 1200-1319 with Berber 61-38
The Tuareg deployed for on a grassy plain facing the Protuguese and their Berber allies across it with a forest protecting the Portuguese left flank and hiding concealed units. The Tuareag advance at a good pace ensuring their Infantry would be in the right place and time to strike the Portuguese Crossbowmen who might otherwise prove a threat to the many Camel Lancers. The Tuareg quickly overwhelmed the enemy centre smashing through both the crossbowmen and supporting knight and where then able to turn their infantry in the centre to aid the Camels already overrunning the enemy right swepping some of their cavalry away and forcing others into hasty maneuvers to flee. The Tuareg right did not go so well as hidden units including some suprising Berber Camel Lancers allowed the Portuguese to eventually gain an advantage on their left. As the sun dipped lower the Portuguese threw everything they had in one last effort to try and break more Tuareg Camels before the Tuareg left and centre could arrive. The battle ended anticlimacticly when a rallied unit of disrupted Portuguese knights on their far right when ordered to fall back from the Camels approaching them elected instead to run away with all haste and the rest of the Portuguese army seeing this decided to do likewise. Much to the dismay of the Tuareg who had been eager to prove their valor in one final effort to secure victory themselves.

Captainwaltersavage Portuguese 1200-1319 with Berber
defeats
Rosedelio Mongol (Ilkhanid) 1230-1353 AD with Armenian (Cilicia)
51:23 Never having beaten Rosedelio before, I determined to put my faith in the flower of the Portuguese chivalric knights on my right flank and hope they could do some damage before my inevitable defeat. The rest of my troops were there to die as slowly as possible so there was some chance of a more protracted fight. The Mongols approached with a mixed force well set up to shoot my troops to death as they tried to hide on a low hill and in some rough ground. The Mongols came on in good spirits and advanced over a small stream and started shooting the Portuguese (to some effect).
The prayers of the Portuguese were answered and the archers of the Portuguese though much fewer in number were much more effective. Even when it came to melee the Portuguese came out on top and then the Knights arrived and smashed into the left flank of the Mongols. All the luck went my way on this one. Lots of rallies in my favour and enough morale drops to keep up the momentum of my charge.

Vuk Teble (Latin Greece w/Seljuqs) defeats Ulysisgrunt (Sicilian Hohenstaufen): 41:61
Ulysisgrunt opened with a pretty effective frontal charge that disrupted two of my spear units and a unit of knights.
I occupied myself by shooting down and chasing off light units with my Seljuqs on my right flanks, while my light skirmishers tried to screen off his light cavalry on the left flank while managing to still break the unit of knights that were attempting to get around to the back of the hill which my archers and crossbowmen had to hold at all costs.

Pretty quickly though he broke through in the center, taking an early lead, but it opened up flanks for me to attack, and those attacks of mine opened up flanking opportunities for him. There was a lot going on for a while. He got really unlucky charging a unit of crossbowmen on an open hill with his general. Those crossbows held him and eventually I was just able to swarm him with flanks by archers and a unit of turcoman cavalry. The battle ended with his armored muslim lancers getting shot to pieces by crossbow hill as they tried to return to battle.

Vuk Teble - Latin Greece w/Seljuqs defeats Bagatrix1805 - Castilian
22%-48%
We crossed the river as the Castilians were maneuvering toward a small hill on their left. We then had to fight like we were men with our back to the river. In the center the Castilian cavalry were quite bunched up and failed to meaningfully disrupt our Knights. Our Seljuq allies meanwhile distracted their left flank of spears and Knights and broke some, drew others away from the fight. On our left our ranged units shot their spear screen to pieces and our spearmen were able to pin them down and break them, allowing our knights to focus on creating flanking attacks in the center, nullifying the threat of their Military Order Knights.

Eventually their center crumbled, though they did manage to break one unit of our knights right before the end when one of their knights peeled off from following our Seljuqs and their Sergeants saw off my Byzantine Lancers who'd been screening my left flank.

Two results for Div A
Triarii Bohemians with Hungarian allies.
defeats
mcfcivo Aragonese 1275 – 1319 score 48-23
On the Bohemian left dismounted knights crossed the river with a good few Hungarian to dismantle two thirds of the Aragonese knights then chewed up their armoured foot. While superior German tin-openers were at work Polish bows and German crossbows on a steep hill made the Aragonese crossing of the river expensive though they eventually saw off a couple of units of Bohemian archers and skirmishers. A remarkable stand by a unit of spears on a high hill prevented Aragonese knights on their extreme left intervening.
and
Triarii Bohemians with Hungarian allies.
defeats
Solemnace Tuareg 950CE-1500CE score 61-46
Remarkably close game where the Bohemianss rushed into an early, seemingly commanding (20% ish), advantage as they crushed the Tuareg right with missiles and flanking though having to shoot a remarkable number of Tuareg units to auto-break and loosing their C-in-C Prince Rupert (also Bohemian?) style as he pursued off the map never to return.
However, the Tuareg's infantry heavy left had been making their way over very broken ground. So while Tuareg camels sacrificed themselves to missile fire pinning the Bohemian dismounted knights hordes of Tuareg foot turned crossbows and archers and a couple of dismounted knight units into speed bumps in a very very effective attack. In no time the score was tied.
Fortunately for the Bohemians the last two dismounted knights did stiffen things up and the Hungarian horse and spears from, their victorious left, arrived in the nick of time to trap and then break the worn down Tuareg camels just getting the victory.
Thanks to both my opponents for two very good games.

alexhstandish (English and Welsh) defeats Rockmanbob123 (French) 12:48
The battle circled a large wood on the left flank. A large mass of French knights decided to swing round the wood and come up behind the English. The knights were harrassed by some longbow and crossbows in the wood which caused a bit of a traffic jam. Some of the knights tried to cut through the wood, but were met by infantry and nullified.
Meanwhile the English and Welsh pushed up in the centre and in front of the wood, the longbows causing significant losses to some French knights and generals who had not followed the mass of other knights. After some spirited ressistance from a French knight and general, eventually the English knights and Welsh spears won the day, before the remaining force of French knights could intervene.
Thank you Rockmanbob for the game.

Vuk Teble (Latin Greek w/Seljuq) defeats IMC (German)
15%:41%
The Germans had arrayed a mixed force of spearmen and ranged units along a long hill with their right flank covered by a river. Against this force I placed 4 units of light archers and crossbows on the far side of the river to harass that supposedly covered flank and a mixed force of irregular foot, dsmt'd ghilman, crossbows hiding in trees and rough terrain, and a couple spears. I had no intention of going up the hill!
Their center held by 4 units of Dsmt'd Knights arrayed against them the Latins had 4 units of mounted Knights, which were our four generals(what use is chivalry if your Lord has to fight with the peasant foot?), supported by a bit of archery from the side of our left and right flanks.
The German left flank was the most concerning, I was covering it with some crossbows 4 units of Turcoman Cav, 2 light cav, and one irregular foot. They had mounted crossbows, three or four units of crossbows, and two units of Knights.

- IMC Latin vs German 01.jpg (822.84 KiB) Viewed 1864 times
My mounted Knights repeatedly charged uphill into their dsmt'd knights eventually breaking all four units. Meanwhile I fed their left flank a unit or two of irregular foot to shoot at while I whittled them down with my unreachable light ranged foot across the river. My one unit of irregular foot on the right flank got stuck in to their crossbows while my ranged units troubled their crossbow general. Eventually their mounted knights realized they needed to come into play and managed to break a unit of turcomans fighting their fragmented crossbow general but by this point my knights from the center were wheeling around to rear charge the no longer unassailable German foot on the hill.
