A good, well fought battle. I did not think that I would succeed. It came down to winning the race to outflank. The Burgundians had more numbers to pull this off.

Kroche (German) defeats Rosedelio (Free Canton) 43-18

German knights and heavy infantry made short work of the medium spears in the centre melees, success was assured when the evenly poised right flank caused multiple cohesion drops among the medium spearmen to end the Cantons' resistance. German left flank was broken and one turn away from obliteration when victory was achieved. GG.

wzfcns defeat rogerbosso 33-59.The Ottoman cavalry posed a serious threat to the Europeans' flanks, but the knights' charge succeeded in breaking through the Turkish front lines.
wzfcns defeat Edmondantes 15-44.The Burgundians occupied the left flank and the central high ground, repelling the enemy with a hail of arrows.
wzfcns defeat Edmondantes 5-41.The French archers forced the Burgundians from their advantageous positions, and the battle ended with a charge by the French knights.

Sorry, no report because no time but I'll say that my heavy infantry save the day.

A thought for the two units of raw spearmen who died in their role as cannon fodders (or, should I say, bow fodders).

Division D result:

SirMichael (Swiss) defeats Garokan (Burgundian) 60 - 34

A fun back and forth battle. The Swiss were at times very stretched out across the line (The Burgundians did well at this. Good set-up) and I thought I was going to lose. But the valiant Swiss held on.

Rosedelio (Khwaramian) defeats Triarii (Seljuq Turkish) 40-15

The enclosures helped the Khwaramain massed archers assist in winning the shootout against the Seljuq horse archers

Division C

Solemance's Tuareg 950CE-1500CE defeats Indibil's Catalan 1050CE-1136CE 56-14

The Catalans held position mostly between two large forests against the horde of Camels and Tuareg foot opposed to them. However they foolishly placed some of their Armored knights inside the woods for some reason which left them vulnerable to the advancing Tuareg warriors. The Catalans also left little to defend their left flank allowing a large number of camels and warriors to move around their flank and head towards the Rear of the Main Catalan line. This proved mostly unneeded. The Catalans tried to stand up in a frontal clash with the Tuareg on the right and centre and many of the Catalan soldiers were smashed asunder by the waves of camels and supporting foot leaving victory in the hands of the Tuareg.

Div B

Jtrillodmp (Germans) defeats Bagatrix1805 (Serbians) 45-12.

The Serbians defence in depth, which made use of the uneven terrain such as woods and rough ground, was not enough to counter the superior quality of the Germans, particularly their mounted knights.

Rosedelio (Seljuk Turkish) defeats Triarii (Khwarazmian) 60-39

Like the mirror, the massed archers helped in the shootout between horse archers. Unlike the mirror, without the enclosures, a good amount of Turkish infantry got run down.

Maeglyr - Danish defeats IMC - Low Countries

42-10

Low countries army don't have medium cavalry to counter the numerous ones of the danish.
Crossbowmens and bowmens are outperformed by scandinavian infantry.

So, Danish was a good choice to win and to lose (in the miror match).

Another Catalan defeat

Indibil (Tuareg) bet Solemnace (Catalans) 63 - 52

The Tuareg with a large force of Camels is a difficult force to beat for a Knight army.

Solemnace's Welsh 1050CE-1099CE defeats rockmanbob123's Irish 1050CE-1130CE 43-10

The Welsh brought a horde of Bythonic foot to face the Irish. Superior numbers enabled them to wrap around the Flank of the Irish right and dismantle parts of it with flanking attacks before Irish reinforcements arrived to stem the tide. In the centre the Irish fought hard before the Welsh were eventually broke through to destroy much of the Irish centre. On the the Welsh right the Irish put up a stout defence using the edge of the Marshes to there advantage to stop the Welsh advance. The Welsh continued to try and probe around the Irish flank but before they got there they were able to pick apart enough of the Irish left to achieve victory.

Solemnace\s Irish 1050CE-1130CE defeats rockmanbob123's Welsh 1050CE-1099CE 62-51

The Welsh and Irish forces clashed heavily among a mass of marshes dominating the map. Welsh cavalry helped undermine the Irish right outflanking them and shattering most of the right except a single unit of kerns which rallied back. On the Irish left though the Irish were more numerous and the Welsh had failed to deploy enough troops to the area to contain a wide Irish flanking maneuver which eventually got around the Welsh extreme right flank while Picked Irish foot eventually picked apart the hinge of the Welsh line to break through and the shatter the entire Welsh right even as victorious reinforcements from the Welsh left began to arrive but not in time to salvage the battle and they had to flee.

It was a very close game; I was slightly behind right up until the final round.

Div B

Jtrillodmp (Venetians) defeats Maeglyr (Polish) 61-37.

The Poles took the Venetians by surprise with an army consisting entirely of cavalry, which caused the Venetian cavalry and light infantry to suffer greatly at the outset. Fortunately, the Venetian infantry held their ground, and their crossbowmen, working in conjunction with the heavy infantry, inflicted heavy casualties, which ultimately tipped the balance.
