So I guess losing Roman army has to roll d10 for retreat attrition table.
RETREAT ATTRITION TABLE
• 2 or lower: Reduce Defender’s Status 2 levels
• 3 – 4: Reduce Defender’s Status 1 level
• 5 or higher: No effect
Roman army has to retreat 1 hex, Etruscan army may advance to that hex if it chooses.
Then it is Roman 2nd operation.

Rom - Op1 2nd Army RETREAT:
d10: 5
-No effect.
The Roman Army II moves directly south to the road hex it came from. Romans have understood, brutally, this won't be a single summer's war.

I appreciate your try at stretching rules

, but rules are pretty clear about this. Right?
Army Reinforcement
An Army that throughout one of its Major Faction’s Operations remains in the hex of a Friendly City without moving, sieging, and fighting battles will at the end of that Operation increase its Status 1 level, up to but not exceeding Strong.

I was only beautifying the returning at Clumsium after the defeat. I know they cannot reinforce, that's why I typed "rest"

No stretching intended
