Unfortunately the IT staff are on vacation and hence there has been no way to stop the bugged first version from proceeding.

That is rather a shame.
Easy enough to live with a rogue, extra game in the inbox for a wee while but rather unfortunate and a bit irritating that (given another big ranking difference) there is likely to be another big hit on my, and other's, ranking scores in FoGII.

It was -13 x 2 for last two 'draws' in the bugged tournament and probably -14 x 2 for these two.

Hello, got tournament game bugged. It appears my turn was skipped. My opponent was able to execute two consecutive turns, while i did not receive my turn in between, as if my turn had been automatically passed. Perhaps it has something to do with fact that at early stage of battle i was only able to play and send one battle and before I had time to make another one, my opponent replied to first, so from that point one game was one turn ahead. But thats pretty poor fix to that situation :)

edit:
actually nevermind, i won anyway.

If Slitherine are back from holiday could they be persuaded to remove this now.

The broken tournament has now been inactivated, and should not proceed any further.

Before anyone asks, we will not be able to correct the Elo ratings. Sorry.

I am so happy I didn't decide to join in the v1 of the tournament, didn't think a screw up like this could ever happen. Anyways, I just bought the dlc that allowed me to look at the armies and I have to ask, why are the sea people so obscenely stronk? 720 people as impact foot with swords and ,,protected" armour for 55 points? Those guys are on crack! And you can take quite a few of them.
At the same time, I find the egyptian armies generally lacking, and the one that we will use for the third round is no different. What do egyptians have better or more of than the sea people? The massed archers? It doesn't work to take a lot of them against a strong player because he just rushes you and most of the times you don't even get to shoot a third time. This massed archers are really not that good when every infantry unit has no problem walking on rough ground. Also, egypt lacks infantry numbers compared to other armies and they just have light chariots, this army doesn't even have the light chariot with light spears.
So how am I supposed to win my mirror match then?
Also, this is not the first tournament were one army or the other is just better, WTC25 had a lot of unbalanced armies in my opinion and this is probably the case with every tournament. Why is the game made up so unfairly? Because of historical accuracy reasons? I like the whole idea of a ranked tournament with swiss chess system were you have so many people, but this is just like having a chess tournament when most of the times you get to play with 1-3 pawns disadvantage.
