A very close game where French took the early lead with some concentrated missile fire and a successful Knight charge. The map was two hills with a valley on the right. Both forces had concentrated on the French right - Burgundians had more units there which did not disrupt from the French missiles and could then pin the French and charge through the archers to level the scores. French troops on the right which avoided the collapse escaped to the centre where they could hold the Burgundian left at bay, helped by having the high ground. The Burgundian left started to threaten the French centre from behind, but the French knights had kept their discipline and were able to remain in the key areas to claim victory. GG

Maeglyr's Ottomans defeats rockmanbob123's Germans [ 52 - 17 ]

It was mostly a game of cat and mouse between the heavy germans keils and knights and the always evasive sipahis. Germans play defensive for a long time, protect, as it seems, by two forests on their sides. The steel wall seems unbreakable. Unfortunally, Ottomans brings many many light troops, including fearsome gunners, and have some luck to not be catch !

The german roaster doesn't give you many choices to counter this. Well played, nevertheless !

The French lucked out with some lucky rolls against the Polish knights in the last stages of a brutal battle. More of a draw than a victory in the end.

Stones1985 (Burgundian/English) beat Triarii (Polish/Lithuanian) by a score of 41 to 5.

Tough for the Poles/Lithuanians. I'm not sure the Artillery/Missile predominant Burgundian/English army is very good against most opponents but with favourable wooded and hilly terrain it found an army that it liked fighting and weas good against, so was able to coast to victory.

Map width was restricted by a body of water. French did have a hill stretched across their deployment area which their army could fully occupy as a solid defensive line. Danish did not want to move across the flat to suffer from artillery and missile fire and then have to attack up the slope, they moved most of their cavalry to their right wing while leaving a solid centre and left of Landsknecht Keils and Scandinavian foot. French moved longbowmen and crossbow into some rough ground off the hill and to the left to hamper a potential attack from the Danish right. Neither side was willing to commit until the French moved forward, mainly against the Danish left. Second half of the battle was full on melee, but French forces could not eliminate the Keils in time and Danish Knights on their right moved to reinforce the centre as the Keils were grinding down the French forces pitted against them. Battle ended with nightfall, centre was still contested but the Danish were now the stronger force. Remaining French heavy infantry was now isolated and although most of their medium foot was intact they were not in a position to challenge the Danish heavy troops that remained. GG
