The Egyptians were far stronger in the archery department than their opponents and this showed as I went into a strong early lead. This changed when the lines eventually clashed and the stronger Syrian infantry played havoc amongst my bowline, making it a costly victory. GG.

A chokehold battle in a valley between a lake and an enclosure. The elite spearmen on each side clashing at the bottom of the valley while the archers shot at each other from the higher slopes. gg

The spears were able to hold against the wave of impact foot as battle cars and massed archer support helped the Sumerians win on their left and center.

This battle was centered between two mountain ranges, which significantly constrained movement and cavalry. Initially, the Egyptians' arrow fire took a dreadful toll, but then the Canaanites made contact, and the conflict went toe-to-toe for several rounds without a clear advantage for either side. Gradually, however, the Canaanites' greater use of infantry vs. massed archers took hold, and the battle went their way. My compliments to Jaerho for a hard-fought match.

The Egyptians gained a strong early lead with their superior archery. However, once the arrows started running low the main body of the Cimerians engaged and the battle nearly turned. A close run thing at the end.
