edb1815(Mordor) defeats Lennard (Easterlings) 52-23

Mordor is again victorious in this match up. One flank of each lone was anchored on a coastline. Both lines clashed and the Mordor line led by Trolls and Uruks had some successful impacts against the Easterling warbands. On the other flank the Orcs held off some Easterling cavalry while the Nazgul got in behind the main line of the men. While the men did have some success against Orcish archers and warbands, the line crumbled from the Uruk guard in front and the Nazgul behind.

Thanks to my opponent for letting several late arriving Uruk units come up from the deployment area.

Well played. We both thought that the warbands of men did not do well against the standard raw orcs, certainly they did not justify the extra points.

Division B

Lennard (High Elves) defeats Indibil (Adúnabar South) 43 - 7

The battle started with a missile exchange. Adúnabar had placed its regular and Orc Archers in the front and they were shoot up by the superior Elves. To quicken up this process the Elves soon went into melee. A second line of Adùnbarites, mostly offensive Spearmen and the Guard, joined the fight, but was also mostly defeated or held back by the Elves. On the right Elven flank some Trolls and Orcs advanced, possibly trying to help out their remaining archers, but they were also defeated. On the left Adúnbarite cavalry did a good job of keeping some Sindár out of the fight. Something similar happend on the right were some light javelin horse kept a Sindár cavalry from joining the fight.
Towards the end the Adúnbarites managed to get some flank attacks in the center, even routing one unit and causing some more disruptions. Had the battle continued they might have gotten some more rout-% on the Elven Army. Overall, as it was also the case in the mirror, it's just very hard for Adúnabar to go up against all the high quality Elven units.

TLDR High Elves are very OP and without a certain quantity of superior units or a wide flanking opportunity it is very hard to face them in battle.

tyronec (Host of Darkness) defeats SnuggleBunnies (Umbar) 54-16.

Similar result to the reverse match. Am not quite sure why Mordor had the two strong wins, neither of us did much wrong playing Umbar and I would have thought the armies were well matched, but maybe not. Snuggles got good use of the Nazgul in his game while in mine they didn't do much.

Almost the same result for the High Elves as the mirror! One more spear unit routed here. My opponent took more cavalry for the Host and that had me in a more defensive posture as the Elves. In the end nearly the same result for the Elves. The orcs and men seem to struggle against them.

Unfortunately there is a mistake given to me 107 points in my last battle with edb. He won, so I should get only 13 points , and edb1815 these 107 points .
