I believe armies which overlap periods can be used in either, at least that's how it's been generally ruled in past tournaments I've been in. You'd need to insure any ally you select fits the right period.

The main problem in August is the availability of the players, we are all in holidays.
I will be able to send you the list of the players/teams after 20th August.
I hope it is ok for the organizers.

If 20 or 24 teams enter quickly we could extend KO stages to 15 + days
