Just as with the mirror game, very close, coming down to last minute rallies. Battles in the Indo-Afghan pachydermosphere are particularly fun and chaotic - arrows scythed through horsemen and elephants alike, lancers rode down unarmored foot, and elephants on both sides trampled friend and foe.

Rafydedel (baltic tribes 1050 BC) defeats ericdoman1 (lithuanian 1100 BC) 49-20

Not much merit here, the baltic tribes have a clear advantage over the lithuanian who don't have much to oppose their numerous impact foots. I had winning conditions three successive turns, but the rallying Fairy clearly wanted that Eric could score the same score I did in the mirror match.

angusosborne (Georgian) defeats Lennard (Seljuk) 42-17

Battlefield narrowed by a waterway and a slight advantage of hills to the Georgians. I got in the first charge on the open flank and routed the Seljuk mounted.

Nijis (Mamluks) defeats Seljuks (mberisso) 45-17.

One of those mad swirling eastern cavalry battles. The Mamluks swept away the Seljuk right just before their own left dissolved completely.

Nijis (Mamluks) defeats Bagatrix (Knights of St John) 44-13.

The elite knights of the Order mangled the Mamluk left but the armored Egyptian cavalry ride through their mostly bow- and crossbow-armed foot. A good game, and the Mamluk irregular foot had some lucky rolls against the knights.

Extraordinarily close game, which came down to how quickly we could each recover and regroup from pursuits to gang up on and defeat the nearest enemy.

Surprisingly it was not the Swiss pikemen who were decissive against the enemy lines but the cavalry, which, taking advantage of some gaps in enemy army, was able to charge behind and to the side of some units, provoking a reaction that broke several English formations.
