Another weekend another Server Unabale to validate Details - FOG2 Ancients?

Sorry, but the IT support team do not read (or post on) the forums. I do, and posted as soon as I could, but was away over the weekend.

Do you see what you have said might be a problem?

IMO you should not be having to deal with IT backend support issues and act as their voice, the reason that you do is that you care and I truly appreciate that. BUT the real fix for this is to address the whole way the backend support works and do a proper review to ensure a smooth and well understood process for when things break.

Ideally have a monitoring system to know when services go down and automated reboot. But failing that if the architecture doesn't allow a process that is properly understood and a way of communicating to the user base when things are working again.

It ain't rocket science and it just needs a bit more thought.

If you can influence that discussion, please use me as an example of a customer asking for better service.

Everytime you all update FoGII the same crap happens and I can't get the download to update. Can someone get me back up and running I have 16 battles going and am knocked off! You need to have a page where we can go to get the new upgrade downloaded!

For future updates, please look at the changelog on the Slitherine forum, it will give you the download link.

FYI I found the easiest and most trouble-free method was to go to My Page which has all the Slitherene products I own listed. On the download link for the product you can find the latest patch link.

FOG2 Ancients can't validate my details, but Medieval can.
I still have a few turns in my slitherine tournament games, I would like to play them before it ends

Same for me too - FoGII down, Medieval OK.

Bumping this as I am having this problem today - full error message "The server has been unable to validate your details. Please contact the support forums at.."

I've tried restarting etc and have had the error off and on over about a 10 hour period.

Edited to add: I own the game via steam, and have updates set to auto - all up to date that I can see.

Server seems to be working now. If you still have the problem, please email support@slitherine.co.uk

Seems like this is an issue tonight UK time? Anyone else having problems?
