Lots of Aragonese men-at-arms charged in the centre while the Albanians went around both flanks. The Aragonese left flank comfortably held on high ground, but the right flank was overwhelmed and broken.

As shown in the other game as well, the Byzantines can't deal with camel lancers and full spearmen.

In this case the marshy terrain did not suit the Low Countries spearmen very well. The Scots spearmen and Islemen held the center whilst a group of highlanders worked through the rough on either flank. The low Countries brigands and longbowmen could not stand up to the highlanders as they caved in both flanks of the line. gg to my opponent.

Irish left and centre, with benefit of being upslope and some rough terrain areas, held against the English charges, Irish right met the English left and were victorious - Heavy horse were matched here with 2vs2 - Irish had more foot units and scored a fortunate disruption of the lead English knight which gave them an advantage. English brought a lot of archers, who caused some damage, but Irish light horse harassed them and caused a few to disrupt and rout which brought their overall effectiveness down to a manageable level. The English knights in the centre could not break through and they ran out of steam and suffered a few breaks in the last turn which saw a close match won by the Irish. GG

The Low Countries were able to hold off a highlander flanking attack in the marshes, whilst their knights both mounted and dismounted made gaps in the line of Scottish spearmen. gg to my opponent in tough terrain.

In both battles cavalry played the main role. In the first, the Crusader cavalry weighed its power due to the presence of the fighting orders. In the second, the dispersion of the fighters on the battlefield benefited the Byzantines who managed to weaken the Crusaders with archers and cavalry attacks from behind.

Anglo Irish pushed forward on their left with a force of knights, kerns and bowmen and held centre ground with heavy foot. Irish (Bruce) forces brought a lot of infantry (surprise) and some knights and lancers of their own. Initial attacks saw the Anglo-Irish left gain inroads against the Irish flank while the centre clashed vs Scottish spearmen backed up by heavy horse which punched through the line - fortunately 2 heavy horse units that broke through could not get back to the battle until late in the day. As the Anglo-Irish left started to break the Irish right they tried to delay action on their own right but a swarm of Kerns and Irish foot rushed forward and overwhelmed them. This left the centre field where very tired units were battling it out and it was the Anglo-Irish who could bring in their wing the quickest to win the day.GG another tough battle where both armies gave everything.

edb1815 (Ottoman 1430-1500) defeated IMC (Polish 1455-1500) 50%-23% Score = 97 to 23.

The Ottomans maneuvered to take a hill on their left to set up artillery and janissaries while the cavalry mostly set up on the right wing. The Polish brough a wing of Pavisier crossbowmen who steadily advanced and chewed up the Turkish horsemen and kept them from riding around the flank. In the center and left flank, the Ottoman fire was telling and caused several units to rout. Close combat with disordered war wagons went the Ottomans way along with battles between Sipahis and Polish knights. The battle was closer that the score because the Polish bowmen were closing in on the outnumbered Ottoman janissaries. Well played to IMC.

As in the mirror game, each side took turns whacking each other with shillelaghs until one passed out and the other was barely conscious.
