Absolutely agree - the FOG2 system is much more immersive and usable (for me) - seeing the ragged lines and flag of a unit that's taken losses and its morale status along with the animation.

Maybe the use of one-piece 3D models doesn't necessarily mean that the evolution of state, losses and formation of the units couldn't be shown during a battle. There are already cases of several models for one unit in the FoG series (e.g. a unit can be either mounted or dismounted). With this script, an infantry unit could be turned into a ship during a battle with a mod in P&S.
However this is pointless blah blah from me.
