I will change the date of this competition to 1370. All participants need to re-select an army, and hopefully this will prompt some activity too! I will PM it later

I am also going to allow each army to have an ally, chosen by the first controlling player.

We will keep the current points, but please select an army for your next battle. I hope we can get a few games going as I personally like this period. 1370 had The Black Prince fighting against France, Tamerlaine, some really interesting armies in Eastern Europe, the Balkans and Asia Minor, condotteri, the Crown of Aragon, Mamluks etc.

I'm going to choose Serbians with Byzantine (Central) allies, because I like the look of Balkan Light Horse and a single Almughavar makes rough or difficult going a bit more interesting.

We fought in a fairly flat and clear pass between two mountains. The Serbs brought all the men-at-arms and some mercenary men-at-arms and did a fairly straightforward frontal charge, although I did take my infantry from the centre to my left to match the Byzantine infantry. There was no room for the Byzantines to use their superior mobility and apart from a couple of isolated breakthroughs the Serb knights smashed the lancers, and their infantry had the better of that fight too. The battlefield very much suited the army with better quality troops.
