The rapid clearing of the Seleucid left flank left their shorter line seriously exposed leading to a rapid Seleucid assault all along the front. For my veteran phalanx on the Ptolemaic left, it was too much and they disgraced themselves temporarily, leading to further unnecessary losses.
As the Gods would have it, though the centre was discomfited, it held and the short sharp clash concluded with undisputed control of the field of battle.

The glorius Roman army lined up with their elite troops but the Thracians fought for freedom providing them an extra push. My right flank pushed strong versus the Romans but my left flank struggled. In the end the legions were quite weathered down and the sheer numbers of warbands and phalanx made the difference. Good game - always a joy to play versus gfs26

Optimisim and confidence put in me in a good space, then a pike block charging two then pursuing three squares blew all my plans for surrounding and nullifying the Pontic elephants from there the centres clashed with me scrambling down 50/32, once my formed units popped the lights continued to harass the enemy stinging like a bee, dancing like a butterfly, finally grinding out the win. All kudos to Dragmio for carrying on. Now is it enough to beat the copper to second place...
