Hi!

The account name on the tournament is Jep_Jogensson (which is slightly different to your name here on the forum)...

Can you check that you're signing into PBEM with the correct account name?

Thanks

Shards wrote: Thu Dec 16, 2021 10:33 am You have my sympathies! Real life reason do seem to stop some players being able to play, but we are looking at ways that we can reduce this first round bump for people who are ready willing and able, but have drawn someone who can't be available.
FWIW, you'll not miss out on the points for the round, but I appreciate that it's the fun of the game that most of us are here for!
I agree with you, Shards ... let's not dramatize this problem since there are much more serious things in real life and a Tournament is after all just a game.

However, the minimum courtesy which I believe should be required of everyone in the regulations when registering would be to come forward to the designated partner at least once, say within the first 48 (or 72, or 96) hours of the Round. Whoever doesn't could then be removed from the list of participants and you would proceed, if possible, to another pairing.

This will not solve all cases, but could perhaps limit the number, which seems to reach between a quarter and a third of those registered.

But I will admit that it is not easy to manage and that you should also do it in your spare time.
So, I will remain confident and patient
Thank you for the clarification concerning the attribution of "BYE" points.

A spelling error on my part? WTF? I feel like an idiot now. Any way I can fix this? Not like I can play multi with my misspelled name since it will not let me.

This sucks but somebody already said once these tournaments are a lottery. When you get an inactive opponent you can't do anything about it. I saw my current 'opponent' did't play a single round in the last tournament, now he signed up again and I already knew what is coming,..I really don't understand why these people sign up in tournaments just to spoil other people's gaming pleasure. But at least I was lucky in the last tournament, 3 full rounds of gaming! Better luck next time

So one of my Wake games when to a Draw as soon as I started it. Is there anyway to restart it?

FWIW my Round 1 opponent was only able to get a half dozen turns done so I have no chance of finishing anywhere near the top, ie it doesn't matter all that much. :-)

Just wanted to give a shout-out to Shards for giving me bye points in the first round when my opponent neglected to complete more than a handful of turns. I also noticed that my opponent was paired with a similar MIA in the second round which is as it should be. This of course takes some time to figure out and so I appreciate the effort to inject additional integrity into a tourney. :-)

I take no credit 😁

We have an automated system to work this stuff out!

I don't think I'm able to get your game reset. Especially as everyone is on winter break still.

I'll propose that a this looks like a game bug, we give both you and your opponent the bye score of 100 in that game

I am stuck on the first turn in the second part of the tourny. My opponent is Celeborn and I am Surv0000. I can play as the Japanese side just fine, but my American team just keeps resetting after the initial setup. I am stuck on turn one. Any suggestions?

The third round game is very fun. My opponent better be watching the skies at the Bridge too far.

Is there a bonus for knocking off your opponent in less turns? It seems in the Peninsular Invasion I blew the bridges in 11 turns and I got the same bonus as my opponent who took 15 turns. He also got more time to score points by killing units.

You do get more points for getting the bridges early. But you also lose the opportunity to get 1 VP per turn for the silver flag locations.

Yes, but I'd have to look up what the actual maths is

Each bridge starts off with 75VP, this reduces by 4VP per turn. (so 8 VP per turn is lost from an initial start of 150 if you consider both bridges)
