Part 12:
This is the big one: the Battle of the Ebro. Republicans are making one final push and General Heinrich von Heck moves to oppose them. Instead of meekly sitting behind the river getting shelled, von Heck goes on the offensive and never lets up.

Part 13:
General Heinrich von Heck takes his troops on a much-needed skiing vacation but runs into some unarmed and fleeing republican units. Not one to turn down the opportunity for some target practice he goes on the offensive.

Part 14:
General Heinrich von Heck takes his troops back to Madrid. This time there will be no escape for the... a report just came in... the Republicans are fighting the Communists... and the Condor legion has been given overall command of all Nationalist and allied forces? If only this had happened in 1936 the war would long since be over.

Part 15:
General Heinrich von Heck moves towards Czechoslovakia and another glorious battle. Oh, wait, our orders are to NOT kill anyone? Surely this must be a mistake! But not, it's not a mistake. Or rather, it's a design mistake to start the DLC with a puzzle scenario. Hopefully, there will be real warfighting later on. Heck is in it for the tanks and the guns and the bombs, not the white flags and marching around...

I forgot to post updates for a while... I'll try to update when I put it up on YouTube.
Finally made it into 1939... or actually, I just completed the Denmark mission It's good to have a supply of unreleased vids in case I don't have time to play.

Part 16:
High command doesn't like von Heck, so he's sent packing to the western border to watch for frog-eaters and plant mines. Sigh.

Sarreguemines is such a chill scenario. Slowly introducing the French forces, no real reason to rush things and a map with puzzle choke points to crack. Truly relaxing after some SCW missions.

It's a nice change of pace. I remember the beta version... It was much harder

Part 17:
General Heinrich von Heck is ordered to hold a place called the Warndt Forest in the Saarland. But more importantly, he's allowed to make preemptive strikes if he feels he can pull it off. In true von Heck style, he goes all-out offensive.
This is a good battle, with some interesting terrain and need for both tanks, plenty of inf, and supporting units. It's a nice step up from the previous scenario. Maybe this trip to the French border regions won't be so bad after all...

Part 18:
General Heinrich von Heck goes to Orenthal, a place he's never heard of nor can find on a map. He spends most of his energy capturing the Orenthal place. The rest of the battle is spent racing across open ground fighting scattered enemies and watching French troops ineptly assault pillboxes and minefields.

Part 19:
General Heinrich von Heck goes on a weird little mission near Forbach where he directs some auxiliary units. They take pot-shots at the Frenchies who are so unsettled they immediately begin shooting at each other. Much hilarity ensues.

Part 20:
General Heinrich von Heck defends Saarbrucken from a major French assault. It is not very hard as the French generals can't cross even weakly defended rivers or get into city terrain that's held by infantry backed by artillery. Then Heck is caught with his pants down and very nearly loses a key objective to a sudden French thrust across open terrain. Good times.

Part 21:
Heck's Polish adventures, a story in four parts...
General von heck and his men arrive in Poland in the nick of time, stopping dead a Polish attack along the Bzura river by aggressively counterattacking.
There is no more fight left in the Polish. Heck overruns fleeing units near L'Vov.
Scattered Polish resistance near Wlodawa. However, the real battle is waged against the Red Army. Heck feels justified: the Reds shot at his troops first, so he annihilated them. A bunch of Communist equipment is captured, much of it known from Spain. Rocket artillery is a novel innovation though.
Warsaw has fallen after a lengthy siege. Defenders were hampered by a lack of offensive will and a deteriorating supply situation.

Part 22:
Heck goes to Finnland, where there are no Finns, but a lot of Russkis.
Overall, Finnland feels like a wasted opportunity. Instead of mini-Spain, there is essentially nothing.
Heck's forces massacre some "elite" Soviet units along the Raate Road. Maybe they are looking for the missing Finns? The battle is over real quick.
Big defensive battle near Taipale. The Red Army really suffers from a lack of competent leadership. They are stopped cold and mindlessly throw their units forward in vain attempt to gain ground.

Part 23:
Heck goes to Denmark.
The Danes probably want to surrender, but heck is having none of that (only too well does he remember the Chezoschlovakia affair), so he plows right through the country, shooting up anything that moves. It's a massacre.
(what a weird end to this DLC!)

Part 24:
There is trouble on the other side of Skagerak and von Heck and his men must quickly teleport to Norway to save some paras stuck at Fornebu. It goes reasonably well
It was a fun challenge to try and save Blücher with limited hero selection and new para rules. Thanks to some clever use of strat bombers it (barely) worked. Got myself a nice rocket artillery wagon that'll come in handly later when I have Elsa and the slots to use it.

Part 25:
Belgium is such a lovely place. Time to add it to the Reich!
Heck and his men go training for a very special mission.
The actual drop on Eben-Emael. It's a little bit of a challenge but the elite paratroopers work alongside a spearhead headed by the Spanish Supertank and all is well.
The mission is complicated by two things: 1. Fear of the Unknown which means Heck has to capture a forward airfield for his recon planes. 2. The paradrop change (move 1 round, drop the next). I LOVE the para change. It adds a whole new level of interaction between paras and other units. I can now almost live with the transport planes "hovering." But some missions, like this one, should probably be adjusted to compensate. For veteran players, it's a small problem (having played the mission with Fear of unknown before it made no difference to me) but there have been plenty of complaints.
Hannut is the first major battle on the Western Front. Heck is pushing his men to excel. It's a whole other opposition than last year. Massive formations of armor, both UK and French.
