In 15mm I don't think you can go past Xyston.
Far as I remember Xyston does neither EAP nor 15mm.
Yes, the less than subtle dig at Xyston size is accepted as warranted.

I'm not overly sure of the Early Ach types. Being an the 'other side' I'm more worried about Hoplites and all that. I knew that they did some Persians of some description, so you're probably right - they are probably more of the Darius types.

Hans,
Sounds like you are pretty commited to EAP, however if you still hanker after a horse army, have you thought about Western Hun?

As well as being a pretty cool army, 'Scourge of God', Attilla and all, there are also numerous manufacturers with a great individual choice of figures. The Huns are relatively easy to paint and take to a dark wash quite naturallyl!

You can then use your Western Hun and their allies as a base to build out from and create just about any 4th to 5th C European or Eurasian army you would like .

Might not be a 'uber' army on the table in competition, but it is a fluid interesting army to play and is not that expensive to buy. (mine is mostly made up[ of 15mm Essex with some 'special' guests). Finally this is an army that has a renowned place in military history.

Go on, you know you really want to scalp a few FOG opponents!

Khurasan Miniatures is planning to release an EAP range, including Immortals in scale armor, shooting armored cavalry, and a pack of hoplites. Greens of of line Persian archer:

I seem to recall reading they are by the same guy who does the Corvus Belli stuff (although I could be wrong about this).
