Thanks, Badger! Have put the Romans on you as the army to start with. However, you will not need to specify any allies, since for each individual game, the player making the challenge can choose whether to bring allies to his current army at that time, whereas in contrast the player being challenged will not be allowed to bring any allies. Thus, allies are used (or not used) by the challenger, at his discretion, on a game-by-game basis.

If you haven't yet joined but are interested and agree with the vision above and the rules, you can always do so even as the league has now started. Then write which army to start with in a post in this thread, preferably along with a PM to me. (It's not an ever-green commitment for you, since rules allow you to join, leave, and rejoin.) Once I've put you in the table, then you're good to go!

In order to reduce the risk of misunderstanding when making challenges and also ease my administrative burden, I've implemented the following procedure for making challenges going forward:

A challenge is made through the following steps:

1. PM the player that you would like to challenge, in order to ensure that he doesn't already have an unresolved challenge outstanding.

2. Wait for that player to accept or decline the challenge by way of replying to the PM.

• Players are expected to reply within half a week, so send a reminder if you haven't received a reply by then.

• You can also see whether a PM has been read or not; if still in the Outbox, then not read, but if in the Sent folder, then it has been read.

3. If the challenge is accepted, the player making the challenge does the following:

• Sets up the game in the FoG2 in-game Multiplayer Lobby.

• Announces the challenge through posting in this thread (so that all other players know about the initiated challenge).

3. If the challenge is declined or not answered within a week, then there is no further action, the challenge is considered null and void, and a new challenge to another player can be made.

• Challenges can be neither stored nor put on a waiting list or in a backlog, etc.

The rules have been changed accordingly to reflect the above.

Just a friendly reminder to everyone challenging out there: please don't forget the option you have as challenger (that the challenged sadly lacks) to bring an ally to the battle. All armies in the second post of this thread are eligible as allies, if they're also in the in-game list among allies for your army in question.

(Example: For Lysimachid 320-281 BC in the Ever-Green League 300 BC, Thracian (Hellenistic) 350-281 BC is an eligible ally, but Seleucid 302-301 BC is not.)

Welcome, angel! Unfortunately Gallic 300-101 BC is already taken (all taken armies are in first post of this thread). However, there are still plenty to choose from in the second post, but just make sure the one you pick from there is not already taken.
