These are for a Fahrbatallion scenario I’m putting together which will include road, rail and river- transportation – and not a panzer to be seen. Now,the matter of river transport in Panzer Corps has certainly been discussed before – not least here. Which also includes Guille’s excellent Soviet barge graphics.

I have decided to use the Terrain type Strait instead of using one of the rivers from Terrain Features. This allows embarking/unloading of river transport (which needs to be classed as Naval Transport), with the Terrain type Port to act as quaysides for loading units via ingame-transports. A Strait hex is still crossable without bridging for all ground units so is still very much like a river feature plus they can still be used by units that have a River Craft classification. I have also renamed Strait, in the appropriate files, to Waterway. I’m sure someone must have done all this before but I couldn’t find the mention.
