also, there are many newbies (like me), so is possible to have better rules explanations?
for example: we are playing two battles (right? ) but my opponent is (slowly) playing only one

So, this may be a noob question, but please bear with me.

I signed up for the tournament and got paired with another player named "DickMove", so far so good.

Now, "DickMove" and I have played 1 turn each, and I have waiting on him to complete his next move for a couple of days now. According to the scoreboard, he has 2 point in 1 game against my 0 points in 2 games. My question is thus: if "DickMove" doesn't make any more moves, does he win then?

If there are any rules, from which I can derive the outcome, a link would be appreciated.

There should be a more complete guide somewhere, but in general:

1. Yes, you get two games each game round. 1 as one side, the other as the other side. This is a "Paired Game" and is intended to help even out any inherent imbalance in the forces/scenarios

2. Some people do seem to want to only play one scenario.... If they don't play the other game then they will end up getting kicked from the tournament and you'll be awarded a default victory

3. The game keeps track of how long each player is holding onto turns for (i.e. it's their go but they haven't played). If, at the end of the round, the games aren't complete or near-complete, then the system will adjust the scores to benefit the player who played the turns in the most prompt manner. If your opponent barely plays at all, then you'll get the equivalent of a default, walk-over win. (75 points per game for this particular tournament)

My opponent has not uploaded a single turn yet. Is there a minimum number of inactive turns before the game is cancelled and won by walk-over?

The game will end at the end of the gameweek.

If a players plays less than 2 turns, then they are booted from the tournament and you get a walk-over

It looks like a large number of games never got started. At least there are lots of games with zero points awarded to either player.

Yeah, sadly there's always some attrition in the first rounds

Hopefully all of the people who've been left hanging will get great games in the next 2 rounds. The players who've not played will be automatically removed by the system

112 is a very very good UK score. That's holding almost all the points and also killing off a lot of invading troops, which is not easy in jungle terrain when outnumbered!

That is a very good question.

Instinctively I'd say that you shouldn't be... However, from looking at your games, you took more than a week to make your first move, and so the system will have seen that you had the most Time spent holding the turn.

BUT, given that your opponent didn't play at all, you would quite rightly expect to be the more Active player. I'll have to investigate this with the server team.

To expand, we have this cut off to stop people gaming the system by not playing their turn until the very last moment in the hope of a default win. I don't believe you've done that here, so I'll talk to the team about adding a new test.

My mistake, I missed the start of the tournament.

If there is a provision in the regulations about the starting date of the game - then disqualification is ok. If not - then no.

I have no idea if there is/was a server problem or something else entirely but, after buying and placing my units, I couldn't upload my turn. I eventually had to return to the menu and reload my turn and try again. I don't know if they all got counted but I loaded the turn 2 or 3 times.

Yep, all is good except I got smoked again.

This a message for GDod. My gaming computer crapped out on my last night. The beeping seems to indicate it is the Motherboard. I will try and get a turn in after I can troubleshoot and fix this problem.
