On a parallel note, have we probably seen the largest battles yet in terms of not units necessarily, but hex dimensions? Or do you envision any on larger maps than what we have seen so far? I know you indicated that the biggest battles yet made in the AO series are in AO40. Did you mean by that in terms of number of units, size of the map, or both?

Both on a technical level and gameplay level. Sedan is of special note on the technical side of map sizes.

FWIW - I don't see this as a problem given the slot mechanic... Yes people will have a LOT of slots... However, the better equipment takes more slots than older stuff... A higher tier tank might take twice the slots of a lower tier...

So maybe I could have 8 Pz 38(t) vs. 4 Panthers... But the Pz38(t) is a *lot* less survivable and is going to have a tough time damaging late war tanks...

Shrug - I don't see it as a problem and that's before considering over-strength...

Given that the better (more slot) stuff is probably mostly not available until post-1940, personally I anticipate using more over-strength units in 1940 AO to allow me to a) build exp faster in key units b) propagate key battles faster
