So currently we're 9, but the more, the merrier; the maximum is 17 players.
So if you want to march upon Rome in competition with (at least) five other wannabe Augustii and have a go at becoming:
IMPERATOR CAESAR [insert your name here] AUGUSTUS
please let me know by
Wednesday September 2 at latest.

A thought on deciding the 'initiative'..can we somehow use the difference in scores, ie the winning margin to determine initiative? That way players who have just achieved a 'pyrhic' victory and are therefore a bit too battered to grab the initiative will have to wait for their turn.
I realise this could mean a number of players with the same difference of 25% might be a bit more likely but we could then use their own damage score as a tie-breaker.
Or do you think this might encourage more negative play? I'm not sure how seriously some people might take this event...

That makes logical sense. However, I prefer to keep it as simple as possible and also want to encourage
activity and aggressive play. Also, there might be a problem for it to fit logically in cases where a player has player has battled twice or more in a turn, performing well, but really should be considered exhausted. So I'll go for the higher the incurred casualties, the higher up in the attack order.

Thanks: welcome! Alternatives to Cappadocia, since it may be taken? EDIT: You can choose between (
Dacia et Moesia + Graecia et Thracia) and (
Tarraconensis + Lusitania et Baetica). First come, first serve.

Looks fun, I think I'll give it a go!
I was hoping for Britannia, but it looks like I was a bit too late for that. Is Mauretania or Africa still available? Those would be my first pick, I think, or if they're taken I'll go for Lusitania et Baetica.

Super! Mauretania is yours (and potentially Africa or Lusitania et Baetica, depending on who many players sign up).

Sounds great, Aetius: welcome! I'll surprise you alright.
I believe that for the first tournament I will limit it to 8 players (the 8 first who signed up, excluding me), but at the same time raise participation of a
second tournament with 4-5 players in order to see which difference the number of player actually makes (because each player would get more provinces at start). You (together with me) are the first two Augustii into that smaller second tournament, so we
need 2-3 more players. Hope that's alright?

If I understand right, there is still room in the smaller campaign. I would be interested in taking part in that one.
I have no preference of the area to be in command of, if there is room for me in this campaign, that is
