Year 18 of Bartabas the lackluster (T81)
As always small Persian armies raid the lands.
The armies are still years away.
Year 19 of Bartabas the lackluster (T82)
Bartabas orders sanitation build in fear of plagues.
Year 20 of Bartabas the lackluster (T83)
Bartabas frees some slaves.
Southern army is nearly wiped out by lack of supply. (1)
Year 21 of Bartabas the lackluster (T84)
Persia sieges Babylon with my 3rd army inside. Bartabas uses his knowledge of siegeing to counter it.
Year 22 of Bartabas the lackluster (T85)
Babylon falls again.
The last remaining army will take on the Persians at Babylon. Year 23 of Bartabas the lackluster (T86)
Babylon is free again, but the Persians slipped away.
Year 24 of Bartabas the lackluster (T87)
Building more cavalry to replenish losses.
Year 25 of Bartabas the lackluster (T88)
Big battle with the Persians, Persian general is better but the Babylonian troops are surprisingly better.
Persians retreat to Babylon but the army is pursuing.
The coffers are empty. (2)
(after movement)
Notes:
(1) Never move more than 1 move away from a supply in case the enemy surrenders. This sucks supplies should come to units moving back to home, let the nearest friendly province pay for the upkeep.
(2) but at least we are over 2.0 in military expertise.
