Using the very powerful Indian army, paulmcneil has won Division D with 8 wins from 9 matches. His remaining challenger, Praeter lost yesterday to ZygfrydDeLowe, and although ZygfrydDeLowe can now achieve 8 wins as well he lost his match to paulmcneil at the start of the season and so cannot overtake him. It was a fabulous contest between yourself, Praeter and paulmcneil in what has been quite a difficult division at times because of slow play. Although you have not achieved an automatic promotion place, it is usually the case that I have to make some discretionary promotions because not all the players from the divisions above necessarily return for the next season, so there are sometimes gaps for me to fill. Players who have not won automatic promotion, but have still secured 7 or 8 wins from 9 matches have a reasonable chance of achieving such a discretionary promotion.

My early defeat against paulmcneil was actually beneficial in at least one way.

As most of you know, Ancient Britons field basically three types of units: Skirmishers, loose order Warbands and Celtic Chariots. It's only natural that I field a lot of those chariots for various roles.
But in the battle with paulmcneil those chariots were routed very quickly, as I didn't leave sufficient gaps in my lines for them to evade through, and so they were caught up and easily beaten with those rear attacks.
It was a mistake I tried hard not to make a second time

Shadowblack's Romans returned the favor beating Shawkhan2's Etruscans 63% to 57%. The final result was the sudden collapse of multiple Raw hoplites on the last turn.
