Thanks for the game Dave. Tough fight. I got the Swiss pikemen just right, I think that's what decided it. Well played from both sides, I'd say.

Massina had hidden mots of his mf in woods and had some hf as a reserve.

He had a big screen of lf and lh. There was no way he was going to come out of the woods and no way I could fight him in the woods.

A draw was agreed upon.

A very challanging game this one with impassable terrain spread through out the middle of the map.The Palmyrans advanced to the left of the Canyons and marshes and forced the Ostrogoths to fight them in the open terrain.The Legions stood firm allowing the Cataphract squadrons to then wreak havoc on the Gothic Noblemen.The Goths attempted to outflank and rear charge the Palmyran Battle line but Auxiliaries placed in the marshes held of a horde of archers.A detatchment of Cataphracts was sent to the rear to hold off an onslaught of Gothic Lancers and held on with great courage.The battle started well for the Goths and they were ahead for the first half of the battle.The drilled Cataphracts were the key here and they performed well although luck could easily of gone General Eposes way.Thanks for another Challanging game Epos .Cheers Turk
