Wrong topic Badger73. You should post it in the Early Middle Ages winners topic.

It is the last day for choosing your armies for High Middle Ages. I have been through the recruitment thread and I have sent a group PM to those players who have not made their selections. I am starting work on the first tables and charts. The first ones take longer to do as each entry needs to be set at the right size individually, but once they are done for the first time the text and numeric values are retained for any subsequent update. I may need to adjust the "Zoom level" that I am using as the first Classical Antiquity tables I have put up are a little bit "in your face".

The new tables and charts (especially for new players) . . .

by stockwellpete
I have just done the first tables and charts for Classical Antiquity. We (me and hidde) have switched this season from Creately to Diagram.net and I just want to check that these new versions are OK. For new players, you should know that the tables and charts for each section are updated at about the same time, usually 2 or 3 times a week, with the big round-up done on a Sunday. Obviously this means that as soon as a new result comes in after the tables and charts have been posted then both tables and charts are immediately out of date. But it is not a problem because you can still work out the positions in the table quite easily and the next update is not too far away.

This is what they look like at the moment. I may need to adjust the Zoom value on them - the Tables might need to be a little bit smaller, the charts a little bit bigger. Please express a view in this thread . . .

Important: reporting results . . .

Just a couple of things . . .

1) You should be using the scores from the left-hand corner of the battlefield when reporting your victories. Please do not use the scores from the subsequent battle summary screen that tells you the number of wounded and other details. We just need the hard % score please. I will add a line to both the rules of Competition and Player's Guide.

2) some of you are reporting your results in a way that is not helpful to me. Remember, that I have hundreds of results to collate and I need to check all sorts of things, so it is much easier for me if you follow the basic pattern provided in the first post of every results thread . . .

Classical Antiquity: winners post your results here . . .
Post by stockwellpete » 29 Jan 2021 09:38

Please use the following format when reporting your results . . .

Division A

hidde (Romans) beat stockwellpete (Carthaginians) 50-25

It is very helpful to me if we all get used to reporting the results in the same way, so please report the score as 50-25 rather than 25-50 when you have won. This avoids much confusion when discussing match situations by PM with regards to adjudication or some other issue regarding the rules of the tournament.

Please try and avoid something like this . . .

Division A

hidde (Romans)

beat

stockwellpete (Carthaginians)

50-25

or . . .

Division A

hidde (Romans) 50-25 stockwellpete (Carthaginians)

It is also very helpful if you just put one result in each post, even in Biblical or Themed where you are playing "mirror matches". Again this helps me with my counting and checking. Thanks. :D

I think this might be better at 90% zoom. The first one above was at 100% zoom. And I have added a small border as well.
