Recruitment to High Middle Ages is going very well and we have filled around 40 of the 60 places. There are a few players who are wanting to enter it as their fifth section this tournament. At the moment these players have not been entered because I want to see how the numbers go over the weekend. If you have already entered 4 sections please still put your name down and you will see me put (5th section) underneath your entry. You may still get in early next week if I need to fill up the last few places. At the moment play in HMA is scheduled to start on Monday 15th February, but if I can bring it forward a few days so that players can get going next weekend then I will. It depends on the speed of recruitment.

Division E
SawyerK (Lydians 687-571 BC with Greek 680-461 BC allies) defeated gamercb (Hebrew 681-586 BC with Kushite Egyptian 727656 BC allies) by 41-3.
The Lydian hoplites managed to clear their left flank before the Egyptian chariots wiped out their right. The score does not fully indicate the calamity about to befall the Lydians right flank.

Division A
Geffalrus (Byzantines) defeated Cunningcairn (Arab Conquest) 60-36 GG to my opponent.
A large patch of rough ground in the center of the map acted as the swirling center of our spinning galaxy of violence. The Byzantine skutatoi were able to hold out just long enough for the Byzantine lancers and Rus mercenaries to outflank the superior Muslim spears.

Division C
SawyerK (Greek 227-146 BC with Roman 208-220 BC ally) defeated paulmcneil (Galatian 63-25 BC with Roman 199-106 BC ally) by 64-40.
As the score indicates, this was a hotly contested battle with paulmcneil winning the right flank, SawyerK taking the left and the middle a muddle. The Greeks benefited from rough ground and some forest that which aided their theophoroi against the Galatians heavy foot.
