An excellent first day of recruitment. Over 20 players have already registered for the Classical Antiquity event and over half the places have been taken for the two themed event pools. High Middle Ages is also recruiting strongly. :D

Some clarifications . . .

A number of minor issues were raised yesterday about the new restrictions on certain armies and the new 50/10 rule. The committee has discussed these and our decisions are as follows . . .

i) the Thessalians in the themed event are required by the DAG to pick 12xLF which breaches the 50/10 rule.

Decision - the Thessalians will be retained in the competition and players will pick no more than 12xLF when using them.

ii) the question of the Dailami mixed units (M) with LF bow support appearing in contingents of other armies (not Dailami Buyids or Musfarids) was raised.

Decision - the Dailami mixed units (M) cannot be used in the FOG Digital League.

iii) in the themed event it was pointed out that it would be better to use the Early Carthaginian army from "Immortal Fire" rather than the slightly later Carthaginian army we had chosen.

Decision - the armies have been changed and the Early Carthaginians will now be used.

iv) apparently in foreign language editions of the game certain types of units are not so clearly differentiated in the DAG

Decision - further clarification has been included in the first posts of the recruitment threads

In addition, Iain at Slitherine has asked the committee to adjust our prizes so that the amounts won by players is more standardised as the spread of prizes in Season 1 is causing their office extra work. The committee is discussing this at the moment and we will let you know what we have decided as soon as we can.

Our thanks to Morbio, batesmotel, ericdoman1 and Demetrios for brining these issues to the attention of the committee.
