Classical Antiquity
Instructions
Here is the full army list for the Classical Antiquity league section. There are over 100 armies available to choose from and, initially, players are required to choose 4 of them from different nations (so not three Carthaginian armies and one Seleucid army, for example). You may choose to use one type of ally with each army selection and these must be nominated now. Please also notice also the regulation regarding the “Diadochi nation” of mainly pike armies at the bottom of the army list.
Please post your army selections in your order of preference in this thread and indicate whether you want to play at 1200 points or 1600 points.
Important: you cannot pick your 4 armies, or their allies, from nations that you used in your last season in this section, whether you used them as your main army or as the allies.
Note: the default size for armies in this section is 1600 points. Matches may be played at 1200 points where both players have indicated a preference for medium-sized battles.
Once players have been organised into divisions of 10 based on their playing experience and ability, they will then be allocated one of their four choices. The allocation process will give preference to the lowest rated players (see FOG2DL ratings) in each division. Only very occasionally might a player be asked to make another selection at this stage.
Players will need to have both the base game and the Immortal Fire DLC to enter this section of the tournament.
Please be sure to familiarise yourself with both the Rules of Competition and the Players' Guide.

Note: the armies in bold text are from those nations that have an exemption from the “one army per nation in each division” rule and they will be allowed two armies in any division provided they are from different time periods. They are the Achaemenid Persians, Carthaginians, Diadochi, Greeks, Romans and Thracians. You may only pick one army from any of these 6 groups.
