A very close game which right down to the last turn I thought was a draw. Thanks for a hard-fought game, Gary.
The Byzantines were very lucky with the terrain as it was mostly open so the horses were not impeded.

Sloppy grind for both side. Dailami routed Polish massed archers in a forest, while the Poles routed the initial sorties into their lines, enough Dailami cavalry survived to keep Polish infantry from reforming a line to oppose the Dailami impact foot sweeping out of the forest.

Thanks for the game! Started as a battle of maneuver with the Germans marching obliquely toward one flank as the Arabs occupied a large hill in the center. The Arabs advanced to stop the German foot from pinching their cavalry against a forest. Arab massed bows took a toll on some warbands before they closed. The numerous Arab cavalry advanced on both flanks as the German CinC warband got trapped and destroyed. The German lancers came back routing some of the lesser quality Arab lancers on the right, but by then the Elephants joined in on the left flank and along with a charge by the Arab CiC cataphracts routed the left side and flank of the German line.

I fun and active game. Well played.
