It is now 273 B.C.
Seleucids have the lowest active number and will move first. Macedon has the highest respond number, so will defend. Ian, please set up a medium battle as Atropatene. If you choose the AI to play, please specify terrain.
Carthage has the second lowest active number, so will move second. Epirus has the second highest respond number.
Ptolemy has the third lowest active number, so will move third. Gauls have the third highest respond number.
Antigonus has the fourth lowest active number, so will move fourth. Rome will respond.
Ian, waiting for you to respond to Seleucids. Carthage may now choose. TGM is to respond. Once Carthage makes its choice, Ptolemy will choose, then Antigonus.
I will work on the state of the states at the end of 274 B.C.

Activities in 274 B.C. and ending treasuries.
1. Epirus (TGM) - 24,300T. Spent 500T to invade Bruttians, resulting in a draw, costing 200T. Income was 500T. Famine struck, costing 100T. Ending Treasury 24,000T.
2. Rome (Lysimachos) - 23,400T. Spent 500T to invade Campania, resulting in a draw (57% to 56%), costing 200T. Income was 500T. Endured famine and earthquake, costing 150T. Ending treasury 23,050T.
3. Macedon (Ian) - 25,300T. Spent 500T to attack Galatians, resulting in a decisive victory (19% to 46%). Income was 500T. Also received income from client states Aetolian League and Achaean League, 100T each. Suffered earthquake and pirate attack, costing 100T. Ending treasury 25,600T.
4. Gauls (Ulysisgrunt) - 23,400T. Spent 500T to attack Iberians, resulting in decisive victory (4% to 46%). Income was 500T. Famine cost 100T. Ending treasury was 23,400T.
5. Carthage (Cunningcairn) - 25,200T. No activity. Income was 500T. Income from client states was 100T from Sicily and 100T from Bruttians. Earthquake, volcano eruption and pirates cost 150T. Ending treasury was 25,550.
6. Seleucids (Mac) - 23,800T. No activity. Income was 500T. Earthquake and unhappy Persians cost 100T. Ending treasury was 24,200T.
7. Ptolemaic (Richard) - 25,300T. No activity. Income was 500T. Income from client state Bithynia was 100T. Famine, earthquake and pirates cost 200T. Ending treasury was 25,700T.
8. Antigonus (76mm) - 23,400T. No activity. Income was 500T. Pirate activity cost 50T. Ending treasury was 23,850T.
Note that, since full turns are 2 years, income per year is now 500T for major states and 100T for each client state. The cost of natural disasters in the momentous year of 274 B.C. has been reduced by half by Zeus (due to the pleading of Artemis.) The new system will be in effect for 273 B.C., as will the new rules for draws and ravaging.

Client States as of end of 274 B.C.
In 279 B.C., Macedon won a decisive victory over the Aetolian League and it became a client state of Macedon. If Macedon continues to control the Aetolian League until the end of 270 B.C., it will become a province of Macedon.
In 279 B.C., Carthage won a decisive victory over Syracuse and it became a client state of Carthage. If Carthage continues to control Syracuse until the end of 270 B.C., it will become a province of Carthage.
In 278 B.C., Macedon won a decisive victory over the Achaean League and it became a client state of Macedon. If Macedon continues to control the Achaean League until the end of 269 B.C., it will become a province of Macedon.
In 277 B.C., Ptolemaic Empire won a decisive victory over Bithynia and it became a client state of Ptolemy. If Ptolemy continues to control Bithynia until the end of 268 B.C., it will become a province of Ptolemaic Empire.
In 276 B.C., Carthage won a victory over the Bruttians. The Bruttians were already in a weakened state due to a prior (non-decisive) loss to Carthage. Thus they capitulated and became a client state of Carthage. The Bruttians will become a province of Carthage if Carthage continues to control the area until the end of 267 B.C.
In 274 B.C., Gauls won a decisive victory over the Iberians and Iberians became a client state. The Iberians will become a province of the Gauls, if the Gauls continue to control them until the end of 263 B.C.
Weakened Minor Powers
Campania, Pontus and Atropatene are all in "weakened states" due to lost battles. If any of these minor powers lose any kind of battle to a major power or suffer ravaging, they will become a client state of that power. Note that the barbarian Sarmatians can attack either Pontus or Atropatene and if they should be victorious, would control that power. This would become the new home territory of the tribes that attacked. Because these barbarians are tribal, I am assuming that they would still have tribes left in their original homeland. The same should be true for the Galatians, should they attack a weakened state.

76MM, your choice. You may choose a large or medium battle. Rome (Luigi) will respond and choose terrain.
Danny, you may do the same for RBS, playing as Pontics.

Nijis has agreed to take over for CC. Since we are just starting a new year, I have asked Nijis to make his own choice of move. TGM, please respond to his request and set up the battle.
Nijis has also agreed to collaborate with us to convert my manual system to his new exciting automated system. I am hoping that this will prove to be a great advance forward for the group, making a more interesting campaign.
