Gadzooks! - you're right Rob.
This prediction thing was meant to be a bit of a laugh - but the new PREDICTOMETER is super scarily accurate. Now - just need to fiddle with a few knobs and buttons, bells and whistles and I'll be able to suss when Mrs SD is in the mood ........... well worth the investment.

Hi Mal,
Mine was from Gamemat.EU
http://www.gamemat.eu/our-products/batt ... in-war/en/
is the one I got.
They've got a bit more expensive since I got mine, which wasn't that long ago to be honest. I got mine delivered for under £50, the mat itself now is £52. I have to say that I still think it's worth it. I've seen the similar style one from Deep Cut Studios. The mouse mat material of that one isn't as thick, and the picture doesn't really do it justice, but it is less expensive and available in the UK.

Most of the other options from these companies (and similar from Frontline Gaming which are a little bit more expensive) have the printed detail, things like trees and fallen columns, scaled more for 28mm rather than 15mm, which in my opinion looks a little odd.

Many thanks for the information.
Perhaps I can persuade our club to buy a few!

I think that FAT battle mats are the best. I got mine from Weekend Warlords in Loughborough. It was £60 and comes with a nice canvas carrying bag. It is made of the same 'stuff' as mouse mats. I have the Swamp which may look a bit dark but it looks good on the table. I cannot show a photo because when you take a pic it all goes purple.
