What is the password please, Leonidas048? Please post it here on the forum and I will contact your opponent. Do you know what a "private message" is? Or PM as we call them. Look at the top left hand corner, you will see Slitherine on a green background, underneath is "Latest Releases", underneath that is "new messages" with the number of messages you have. Click on that to get your PM's.

Edit: I have just checked your challenge. There are two things wrong with it. Firstly you have not set "Opponent's army" to "any book"; and secondly you have not password-protected the game so anyone can pick it up. You will need to do it again I'm afraid. I have now picked up your challenge to avoid you having to play an unnecessary game.

Your challenge screen should like this (I have used the word "knockout" as the password just to illustrate how the page should look)

OK, go and put your challenge on now and then come back here. I will check it and let you know if it is OK. Then I will contact your opponent 15080ig (his name is Bruno).

Yes, that new challenge is correct! :D Right, you have done all you need to do for this first round match to get it started. I will now try and contact Bruno (15080ig) and get him to start the game. We are approaching the time at which the committee will be replacing non-starters with the reserves - this will probably happen on Thursday morning. So if Bruno does not pick up the challenge by then then you might have a different opponent. But whatever happens now you will definitely be playing a first round match. It is always advisable to "log in" when playing in a tournament like this where everything is moving quickly.

I think Match 10 has started. The PM with the details has been picked up and the challenge on the FOG screen has gone - so hopefully they are playing now.

Edit: now confirmed, Match 10 has started. :D

Dave_R (8/40) bt Teletabicus (23/22) Bosporans v Romans.

It was a good quick match played in good spirit. The speed of the bosporans picking on the weaker (i.e. Superior) Legions rather than the Elite ones!

Londo (Anglo-Irish L) 25/37 beat Iandavidsmith (Pyrrhic in Greece) 31/30

A very brutal slugging match between galloglaich and phalangites. Pyrrhos tried to protect one flank of his army with his bodyguard cavalry and some Galatians, but eventually he was surrounded and killed, which was perhaps the turning-point of the battle. The Anglo-Irish general sensibly kept out of harms way until the very end!

If you live in europe and your adversary in USA its reasonable to forcast only 1 move each day, no problem when there are only 4 matches to be played but if there are 32 its easy that many of them will last a lot of time :)
Sorry Matteo, but I do not think this is practical at all. The fun of this tournament is knowing that you could get anybody in the first round. I don't think breaking the draw up into smaller groups would be very popular.

lydianed (Latin Greece (Achaia)) 24/37 beat claytonengel (28th-30th Dynasty Egyptian) 46/46

The Egyptians brought a big-ass army rammed with MF Bow and plenty of defensive spear plonked on a hill and some Libyan allies who proved a little less stalwart than their bosses. The terrain led to the battle being fought on two wings with the centre largely uncontested. The Latins chased off the Libyans on the left wing and degraded the Egyptian spear and bow enough to force them onto the offensive. Subsequent isolated melees generally went the way of the superior Latin troops. Good tactical game.
