Oh,man...
Ian, since Triarius is struggling to get any turns done maybe you should consider trying to get a replacement player for the last round?
Is steve-h8 still around...stockwellpete perhaps?
Anders, I can stand in for one game this week if Mike has gone AWOL.
Thanks Pete. It's ianiow who makes the call but I'm sure he's pleased to have you in the team(that's if Mike really can't play the third round).
But...do you mean that you can play for one week and no longer? This tourny is jinxed, you know, so you better prepare for the long haul :P

No, I am available for one game in its entirety (I was just assuming that it would be starting this week). I'll read this thread regularly for the next few days to see if I am required.

Thankyou Mr Stockwellpete for volunteering to be the sixth member of Team UK (aka "Dad's Army"). It would be awfully nice if you could report to myself or Cpt Mainwaring (Eric) with your email address and ration book number so that we can add you to our emailing circle.

And remember. They don't like it up 'em.

Big"thanks" to Hidde for taking over the reins of this interesting comp.

Personally, I will try to re-create the draw from my last game with Deeter. Although this may prove difficult vs Ian's elite Egyptians

Yes, myself and Steve have started. He has chosen Kyrenean Greek allies to go with his Egyptians, I have just an early Carthaginian army with no allies. I won the initiative and picked a map with a very open central area for my HF offensive spears to operate in. Steve's army is about 10pts bigger than mine because he has got a lot of archers. Both armies are marching full steam ahead towards each other.

My Carthaginians are starting to subside now. Steve leads 29/77 to 35/64 and he is about to begin mopping up operations. I think I picked too many cavalry and MF, instead I should have gone for more HF offensive spears but I had no way of knowing that Steve would choose Kyrenean Greek allies in such large numbers. Very realistic game though with both armies smashing into each other simultaneously.

A very enjoyable game with the maestro. I got my army selection slightly wrong so I could have made it a bit closer really. Thanks to my team mates for letting me join the tournament as a stand in. Good luck in the rest of the games.

Well the Persians seem to have taken 27 casualties and run from the field. Can I claim it as a victory

Seriously though, what argument with Pete? And I'm starting to tire of all the prima donna moments , what with getting upset because someone said they where cheating, or some pointless argument about the shade of yellow butter is. It's a game, so everyone get over themselves. THAT'S AN ORDER!!!!

PS: This isn't xbox-live is it?

Cheers, the never quiting

Macsen

Please form an orderly cue to receive your teaspoon of cement.
