Hi Bebro,
but their move and fuel should be enough to make exactly one attack each vs. nearby shipping
Problem is that they just appear in the middle of nowhere without fuel as reinforcement units.
They do NOT start from scenario Nr 1 on an airbase with clear instructions.
So you should make them available from scenario 1 or from another scenario but based on an airfield with clear instructions saying there is fuel only for one trip in one direction.

Imphal:
A very enjoyable scenario. Difficult terrain for the most part again, so I placed only two core tanks. I was missing a few more in the Imphal area, though, so the captured M3 came as a blessing. I crossed all the mountains and forests with the northernmost aux units towards Imphal to the southwest, which was a slow and tedious process, but they arrived there just in time to help in the siege, and in the end they made the difference. I tried to sneak in my bonus paratrooper unit unescorted, but it was intercepted and destroyed by the enemy fighters over the mountains. I lost another experienced infantry unit with two heroes, which had been in my core since the start of the campaign. Hopefully I can recover from these losses in the next scen.
A really good scen, overall, with lots of strategic and tactical thinking.
DV in turn 26.

Thx for the feedback, glad you like it. It's one of my favourite scns in the campaign too.
Good idea with the para, but bad luck...I had the same while testing once, later waited a couple of turns, dropped a bit away from my objective (airfield) and then moved him further from there, while approaching with ground forces from the other side.
Re core if it's overall in a good shape taking *some* losses should still be affordable. Now that it's '44 it helps a lot to have a number of high-xp tanks, fighters and inf of course. But new ground units can probably gain still a good deal of xp until the end from here. It's more difficult with fighters IMO at this point, since the AI likes to gang up on weaker units...

Dimapur
DV in last turn, marginal campaign victory.
Nice (minor victory) conclusion of the campaign. However, it could have been a bit more epic, such as one more defensive scenario against the Americans to bog them down somewhere in the Pacific. I do not really feel that I have managed to stop the main adversary. Anyway, I am happy that I could change history
Also, the de-briefing says "... Americans weakend from the losses in Australia..." - I did not fight in Australia - a little continuity issue here.
I also waited one more turn for MV, so that I can continue with the losing path. I was sent to Guam, even the campaign path says Leyte should be the next scen

Thanks for the feedback again. Good job with the campaign MV
The Australia hint was for those who arrived at Dimapur via an MV in Australia - it looks probably quite strange when you go another path. I'll see to change it so it makes more sense.
As for another defensive vs. the US...yeah, that could be better campaign-wise, though right now I have no good idea how to make it at least somewhat plausible at this point.
Re path/Guam, it's correct to be sent there, but the path entry in the library is wrong.
Robert found also a couple of errors in later scns, mainly mistakes in victory conditions or issues with briefings.
I hope to have a fix for this up before New Year, I just want to do a bit more testing...

I has reworked my Awards add-on for this Mod.
Add-on includes new different collar tabs for IJA (and IJN) ground and air units.
Add-on also includes new award - Sen Sho (Japanese Wound Badge).
To be continued...

Unfortunately I still need a bit time for getting the update ready. I'll drop a note here when it's ready.

Just a 'lil update: I've spent some of the recent time writing that install guide McGuba recommended. I hope to have it ready at some point this week. Patch work will follow, but needs still a bit of time...

OK, I put both the GME update and the new installation guide online, all on sendpsace to avoid more gamefront hassle.
The guide is available here: (see below for updated link, info and link also added to the OP)
It has info about downloads and installation of the mod from scratch, including the most recent updates. I highly recomend it to people who are struggling installing this campaign. If you still have questions or think the guide is not clear at some point, please post.
The guide still refers to the forum thread here about GME setup, since it is a good description IMO.
Those who installed the full mod v0.8 just need to apply the recent updates to v1.0 of course (please use sendspace links in the OP).

The installation guide has been replaced with an updated one available here:

The part regarding v1.0 updates has been expanded (link added to the OP as well).

No China battles? I would have thought Shanghai, the Yangtse valley, Wuhan, Changsha etc. would all make good subjects for an IJA mod.

I'm sure they would. But given there was no Pacific content whatsoever when I started campaign modding (back with USMC) I decided to limit workload to a reasonable amount to get mods done rather than getting bogged down due to over-extending myself

Yeah, most modders set themselves an overly-ambitious goal, launch a sudden attack on the subject, score a few intial successes, and then steadily start to lose ground until finally they decide to throw in the towel - sound familiar?
All the same, there are a few things that can be re-used for modelling the ROC army - their airforces we're mainly P-40s, I-16s, and Tupolev SBs, their army used German and British helmets during the time in question, their anti-tank armament the 37MM anti-tank gun, their tanks the T-26 and so-forth.

Yep, re-using those is certainly a good idea. Though these days making unit gfx does not take that long for me, most time I spent on doing map&scenario work, gameplay adjustments, and before everything else on background research.

Is your campaign compatible with patch 1.20 Bebro?
