Division F
Darkwater247 - Gepid 493-567 AD defeats McHarg - Palmyran 258-273 AD 53-21
My lancers outnumbered the Palmyran forces, which had a lot of catas (and troops hiding in woods

), I won the skirmish battle and was able to pepper the armoured cav long enough for it to take its toil, My lancers then managed to hold long enough for the others to start getting some flanks.
Thankyou for the chatter and game. A pleasure

Pete thanks for another great season of the digital league. As always it was well organised. I really liked the changes you made to army sizes in each section. I personally prefer larger armies but think Biblical and Early middle ages are fine at 1200 points. Classical could be 2000 points as far as I'm concerned but that is probably a bridge too far. I initially was unsure how I felt about the new Biblical format but from discussions with players and feedback on the forum I think that too was a resounding success. I've finished all my games and eagerly await the next season. Thanks again and best wishes.

Division E
Blagrot (British 600-1030 AD with Viking 780-899 AD allies) beat kronenblatt (Rus 960-1053 AD with Bulgar (Danube) 852-1018 AD allies) 60% - 45%
The British had early success with the huscarls (and sheer numbers) breaking the Russian centre, evasive lights and well maneouvered foot kept the Russians holding on for a time but eventually enough units were caught and killed to claim victory, thanks for the game and chat
