Akkula: Thanks for your nice words... I just wanted to add that the series of skin files I uploaded were "ripped" from Soviet icons present in the vanilla game... Then I made all the gradually darker tomes out of the original one... They are useful for giving "the" vanilla game look to any gray-scale colored base icon processed by the DCS software!
Enjoy!

Hey can anyone make a new artillery version of the SdKfz_8_Bunker_Flak with the barrel only slightly elevated I'm trying to help one of our members out

in the amulet mod the SdKfz 8 Bunker Flak unit is AT with an artillery switch only not AAA or flak He says it dose not look right and I agree this unit should have all three modes AT, Aty and AA on a three way switch

Because of the request posted by ckraiderfan1, I brought back and old project of mine to the workbench... the 8.8cm_Flak18_(Sfl.) aug SdKfz.8. This unit has only two modes (or "switches") because it was not capable of making AA fire, it had it anti-air sights and fire control gear removed and also, the barrel elevation was limited. So, there is a direct fire mode and another indirect (artillery) mode. I hope you like it!! :-)

Here you have some sample icons, an image with some real drawings of that vehicle, and the link to download the whole bunch. 8)

Ok, here is a very rare unit (that I think only existed on paper and was made one wooden model) that was asked by Flak... The Rammtiger... Sincerely I don't know if such a unit would have been very useful in close combat against fortified structures. Why not mount a short range, powerful charge projector (like the Sturmtiger, for example) to give the unit some stand-off distance in place of having to crash against its objective? But, with the Rammtiger, ammunition shortage was not a problem :-) I hope you like it!

Thanks for the Rammtiger Guille. It is really nice looking. Great theoretical unit for the 1945-1946-47 scenarios (when the Germans aren't beaten in 1945)

This thread reached 100 000 hits! Wow!!! :-) Thanks to all for come by for a visit...

Now, we are back to the Soviet side of things... Giving my apologies to Akkula for missing his release of the latest version of his mod, here is a new version of the IS-2 heavy tank. Apart from some small refinements and detailing the most important news is that this vehicle was "divided" in two versions, the early one, with stepped glacis plate and no anti-aircraft heavy machine-gun, and the late one (IS-2 m1944) with a redesigned ront hull with one piece front glacis plate (with no step) which was also thicker, and a heavy 12,7 mm AA machine gun. So, stats-wise, this new version should have passive AA defense value and somewhat higher GD (may be +1 or +2). The front hull design difference is not very much noticeable, but if you zoom in enough you will be able to see the details... Hehe! I include an armor diagram of both versions for you to see the difference.

In the pack, you will find basic icons and masks for both versions, an assortment of Soviet camo schemes, and captured unit for Germany and Finland.

I really hope you like this new icon pack! :-) 8)

Hello Anders! So nice to see you here! I am really happy you visited this thread after so a long time! I hope you are OK and I also glad you like this latest release... As a novelty, yo will see an "Extras" folder inside the pack. This contains some "customizing" additions that should be pasted "as a new layer" (using Paint.Net) and then merge the new layer with the background one. Thanks for your nice words!

Again, It feels so good to read some words from you. I hope you will be visiting this thread from time to time...
I send my best wishes to you!!! 8)

PS: Are you on something about PzCorps?

Wow, that was unexpected. Beautiful variants for the IS-2 Guille. Muchisimas gracias.
The details are stunning, I will add it to the mod for sure :)
With the impressive work of Flak and yours, the Soviet will have even more choices than the German in this game :P

Thanks Guille, very nice IS2 (although I really liked the other one you recently did too). Now I will have to make some "Berlin" masks for Akkula for these babies I guess.

Flak: I am almost sure that if you already made masks for my previous IS-2 icon, you will be able to re-use them for these new icons... I made them to be compatible with the mask I had made for the earlier IS-2 icon... so I think your work will not be lost. Thanks (an tanks!) for your kind words!! :-)
