Geffalrus (Bactrians) defeats Xlegionne (Gauls and Samnites) 45-11

One of the few favorable matchups for the cavalry-heavy Bactrians; the lancers were able to neutralize the impact foot charge, while the horse archers rode down the few foot skirmishers opposite them. Alas, it's back to hoplites, pikes, and massed archers, now.....

Quite a fair draw. Fragmented opponent's cavs had a lot of succesful retreats, though after bad start of the battle and awful moves of my knights i should be happy with the result.

Well that was unpleasant (for my army). Stones shot me with arrows, switched things up by shooting me with even more arrows, and then started from the top all over again. I did eventually get into melee and even things up a bit, but Stones made me work for every %. Good game indeed.

Division B

SpeedyCM - Pyrrhic 280-275 with Samnite allies defeated lydianed - Hebrew 681-586 + Egyptian 664-571 allies 64-32.

The Hebrew chariots caused some issues for the Pyrrhic pikes, fortunately the pikes for the most part were able to maintain good order and discipline while engaging at a disadvantage in repeated impact combat rounds with the bouncy chariots. Eventually the pikes with Samnite assistance where able to come out on top.

A few of us have tried to contact Chherif but without any success. First thing is that I hope he is well. If some players are still waiting for him to play a turn and it has been over a week, please notify me with dates etc. Tomoegozen deservedly claimed a victory vs Chherif.

Come on guys finish your games as I/we hate having to make adjudications.

A win for the Hebrews finally (if such a narrow margin can be called a win). The Chariots did a great job of holding up the Ptolemaic infantry but all over the battlefield the Ptolemaic cavalry proved hard to beat. Had Ptolemy's elephant got stuck in sooner the result would probably have been reversed. Thanks for a great game.
