OK a question to the forum. In following up of our Big Barbarossa scenario, Big "Operation Taifun" will be the next scenario. The run on Moscow. Operation Taifun has started on 2nd october 1941. Taifun was still a part of Barbarossa. So the Big Barbarossa scenario gets the end date of 1st october 1941 and Taifun will start on 2nd october 1941. After the Germans get stucked in the snow at the 5th of december the Russian counter offensive started. We discussed earlier that this was the end of Barbarossa. As I am right on the 19th of september 1941 the heavy rains started and in november frost and snow was coming. So please your reaction on the following lines:

1 Big Barbarossa get the end date 1st october 1941

2 Big Taifun will begin 2nd of october 1941

3 Big Taifun can end on the 5th of december 1941 but I can also make it longer to let you "fight" the Soviet counter offensive also. What must be the end date then?

4 Big Barbarossa will get bad weather from 19 september on. (Or a other date?)

5 When will we the heavy snowfall begins somewere in november 1941?

I read this (Battle of Moscow, Wikipedia):
On 7 October, the first snow fell and quickly melted, turning roads and open areas into muddy quagmires, a phenomenon known as rasputitsa in Russia.
By 15 November 1941, the ground had finally frozen, solving the mud problem.

Maybe compare here, the Soviet counter offensive (around Moscow) was exhausted by 7 January 1942 (while Moscow still being threatened):

Mud was a problem as of 13 October 1941 (i.e. for roads) and frost (not snow per se) as of early November (starting on 1 Nov, strong frost as of 6 Nov):

Load the full mod v0.037, then the updates till v0.41.

See that there is a change in number. We let one 0 away. So v0.41 can be seen as v0.041

I will make the first snow on 7 october. Mud after that. 15 nov snow and everything frozen. Then we let Taifun end when Hitler ordered the withdrawal on 15 January 1942.

Tony just send me the beta version of the Big Germany map. This is a lot of work. We all may say "thank you" to him. This speeds up the "Grand final" of the campaign. I can start now to make the scenario. Thanks Tony!

unfortunately the log files did not provide any information about the cause, as they do not report an error (files are empty). So the problem has to be somewhere else.

Are you playing with Windows 8 and can you tell me how much memory the game uses in Task Manager?
