Harder and closer than the score suggests, those chariots posed a real problem as they were not so great to charge into, and the Syracusans didn't have much mobility. Luckily the Syracusan line held and stayed together, and slowly managed to rout them. GG!

Not a problem. Your driver was down, hence the delay and you are near enough bang on target so well done.

harveylh reluctantly claims a win by forfeiture over Changdao. Unfortunately, he has not made a move in our game in 10 days and has not responded to any PMs. Our game had not progressed very far and there was very little if any scoring.

You also have him at 5 games played but only 4 recorded? He has played 5 games and latest was lydianed which is not recorded as just posted?

A very close match, with some of my fragmented and disrupted units holding on just long enough for me to pull of a victory.

Started off with me on the heavy defense, with his skirmishers disrupting and breaking several of the spearmen on my flank. Slowly I pushed my way forward, but didn't want to charge with my infantry since they would have followed and been out of position. Started to use my light cavalry to charge at the Horse Archers, from which they didn't retreat. That allowed my spearmen to charge. Fortunately the horse archers disrupt pretty easily.
