Given this is such a lovely little campaign which starts off with very small maps I would love to see this on mobile phones. I wonder if it is possible to recompile it for Android, or tweak it to run with a simple emulator?

yay I just finished this campaign (had to give myself an extra prestige via cheat at times), an excellent scenario design as usual.
The final mission 80 was a bloody mess with some core units lost, but fortunately, it doesn't matter since it was the last scenario in this campaign anyways. That particular map is pretty clever, towards the end I figured out a couple of more efficient approaches on how to tackle it.
I feel like this campaign should be included in the base game as an advanced tutorial - after playing it, you will be prepared for anything

Great to hear you like it.
It was a lot of fun creating this fantasy campaign, no stress no restrictions and no deadline
I always considered to make another one with Italy playing the leading role. Perhaps after i finishe up the US 50 State Tour.

Why not modify this campaign so that the player is Italians ?

The Italian version is very promising too. Very good work

It's an excellent campaign. Changing base nationality to Italian, US or British would extend entertainment value.
I'm currently working through MPC 39 (which is very good) after getting a thorough kicking on No Tanks You.
I tried No Tanks You with my tweaked equipment file which makes AT a little bit better and still did badly. - I can highly recommend any and all of Nico's work.

Fantastic campaign, loved every minute of the 50+ hrs it took for me to finish it!!!
One minor issue - the scenario description for Mission 77 and 78 is the same and it only matches Mission 78 so Mission 77 needs a new scenario description.

I am in the process of converting the campaign to play as the USSR.
Remember, this is a fantasy campaign. In the first installment Lord X is being the USSR; for this version Lord X will be Germany.
And FYI, the Italy Corps-Afrika Korps campaign will be released in one of the upcoming days.
Here's the first mission of The Alternate- USSR on youtube:

sounds great, I recently started it for tor the second time after a break, but currently stuck on the 5th mission lol (I don't remember any troubles during my first walkthrough, must be the different core units composition this time)

The Alternate Grand Campaign has been updated!
The download contains both Alternate campaigns, one as Germany, the other as the USSR. Each campaign is 80 scenarios long.
https://www.sendspace.com/file/g2bdq9
The campaign begins with (very) small maps and a small core army.
Install: Extract the rar file in your "documents\my games\panzer corps\mods" folder, start the game, click on the more campaigns folder and this mod should be in the list.
This campaign just uses the vanilla icons of the game and a few extra vanilla entries i made.
Note for the use of personal e-files
The Alternate Grand Campaign is compatible with custom e-files. First, remove the e-file in the Alternate GC - Germany (or USSR)/data folder before loading the e-file in GME. Secondly, your e-file must have units available from 01.05.1936 or you will not be able to play.

The new download contains two campaigns.
The original one playing Germany, and a revised one to play as the USSR.
The Alternate campaigns are fantasy campaigns with a core army that will steadily grow to max 20 core units + 10 SE units.
I also create vids of the first 10 scenarios as the USSR and posted them on my youtube channel.

Hi Thunderhog, I've played the original version (as Germany) up to turn 15 (I will go back, but I was distracted by another mod). The maps start off small with few units and are great for a quick play and a lot of fun. Like all Nikki's mods, I can thoroughly recommend it.

I thought I'll just have a quick game or two of the USSR version and I'm up to Lord III already.
It seems even better playing as Soviets because the mix of units is so different, especially the terrible but necessary infantry, good SPArt but with short range, and the T28 for soft targets and the BTs for rapid flanking moves.
I spotted a couple of minor issues.
The free cavalry unit is a German unit - I nearly lost a plane that was trying to refuel at a German airport.
Also, SE tanks availability doesn't match the normal tanks - SE BT7 comes in quite a few games later than the normal BT7. I think the SE BT7M might also come in a while after the standard BT7.
Maybe the 45mm AT gun should have 2 move, to make it more worthwhile.

When you think there is an issue in a certain mission, just mention the mission number please. Then i can have a look into it.
Also keep in mind that in this version Lord X is represented by Germany.
In the equipment file attached to this campaign, i added two "early" SE units, the BT-2 and BT-5. Or it would take too far into the campaign before receiving the first SE unit. All other Soviet SE units have the vanilla availability dates.

I just finished off Lord X.
Out of 80 missions, I found only two issues.
Mission 4, Soviet Cavalry 8,8 has German flag. Not a huge issue as the prestige is still hand.
Mission 77, the briefing mentions Line A, but this is not marked. It also doesn't seem to matter in the mission - or maybe I found my way past it by luck.
It was great fun playing as Russia.
Early on a mix of T28 and BT5 or BT7 works well, the early infantry is predictably poor, but still useful if you have enough artillery to provide overwhelming support, and there are periods when good AA is more important than a good air force.
Well done. Now it's time to try out your extended Soviet Corps mod.

Thanks for the feedback.
I corrected the errors for scenarios 4 and 77.
I think we can call this version the final one.
