Halibutt wrote:Ok, here's the Gotha G.IV then. Actually the differences between the whole range of aircraft, from G.II to G.V were pretty minor (mostly powerplant, plywood vs. fabric and such), which means you could use this one for any one of them.
The icon is not 100% to scale, but there was no chance to do it properly. The length of the airplane was around 12 metres (slightly longer than the Junker Ju.87). However, the wingspan was so huge that when I scaled the model to the length of Junkers, the wings didn't fit in the picture

That's why I had to make it slightly smaller than in reality.

But seriously, who's idea was it to make the wingspan THAT big anyway?

Gotha G.IV is still pretty much conventional compared to the Gotha G.I - it was similar to the later designs, with two huge wings, except the fuselage... was attached to the upper wing. Now that's what I call innovative design (and a death trap to pilots during rough landings).
But back to business, you ordered a light cruiser, so here's the SMS Emden. The model is much better than the sprite, but the ships are never pretty at this scale... Just compare the render with the final icon.. Still, I guess it's as close as it gets to a decent icon.

The Emden icon resembles the other ships well enough to be put with them.
Also, all your icons deserve an emoticon that I don't think I have ever used (even knowing that I've made 1100 posts):

Here's the SMS Dresden then. Actually it's the very same model (they were sister ships), I just changed the lights a little bit to make it look darker (Emden was painted plain white, Dresden was grey I believe). And I cropped it slightly better this time. One could be used for German cruisers, the other for the Entente, or whatever you seem fit.

And now a recce/light bomber plane, the Breguet XIV (Bre14). First in the original French camo scheme, but there's more coming

Enjoy!

The Russians need a light bomber too, right? Here's the same Breguet in a Russian livery. (note that roundels are still French on the render pic, but they are ok on the icon).
Enjoy!

I don't think that was on the list, but what the hell? It can go in... as soon as the Russians get a fighter. (Sikorsky S.16 or Vickers FB19)

Sorry, don't have the model. I do have a decent Russian Nieuport 11, license-built in the Dux factory in Moscow. Interested?
I also have something special for my beloved Austro-Hungarians: their Panzer Auto 1, aka Junovicz armoured car.

Cool!
I'll be uploading a screenshot of all the unit graphics in game ASAP, but first I'm trying to convert the scenarios from Kaiserschlacht to include all the new units and transports.

Now a German Albatros fighter. I named it Albatros D.II, though in fact it could be used for Albatros D.III or D.I as well (they were virtually identical).

And the same Albatros, this time in Turkish livery. The Turks used both D.II and D.III, so this icon might be used for both as well.
Cheers

Cool.
On the Albatros though, I have the Alb. C which is a fighter-bomber, rather than the D fighter series.
Still good to add though.
(I was making this post while you added the Turk camo. I'll add the Turk unit as well)

I noticed we're still some ships short, so here's the Wickes-class destroyer. It turned out a little dark, so I could try a lighter version next time.

Another naval asset from the BF1918 treasure chest, the German Minensuchboot. Technically a cross-over between a minelayer and a minesweeper, it could serve as a nice addition to any naval scenario. I looked closely at pics and this 3D model could serve as any type of WWI minesweeper/minelayer as both 1914, 1915 and 1916 models looked very similar.
Cheers
