At least you're doing it with weapons that work in the woods rather than spears or pikes .

That works marginally better I would say! In this case the Swedish steel had the best bite

Hi all,

Here're some updates on the situation after the three battles.
Battle of Uppland: The Army of Stockholm won this and therefore the Army of Gestrikland had to withdraw back to Gestrikland.
Battle of Westmanland: The Army of Dalarna fled in panic back to Dalarna. In the battle they lost 3 BGs and an additional 9 BGs in the following pursuit.
1st Battle of Nerke: The Army of Nerke defeated the Army of Bohus. The survivors of the Army of Bohus withdrew back to Västra Götaland and merged with the contingent left behind. Seeing their countrymen withdraw, the Garrison of Örebro moved out into the field to attack the Army of Nerke. Next round there will be some changes in the team lineups. Turk1964 will be the first turncoat and joins the Swedish side. Our new recruit, Mike48 will dress in red and white and replaces Turk. Hopefully this will evens the teams some

Just to let you know we're active.
Turn 5 and not much have happened...both generals are cautious, wary of the artillery on the other side.

Too much happened in the last turn for me to go into details.
Swedes were 20/21 and a crossbowmen were to deliver the coup de grace with a rear charge on a disrupted militia...only that they were disrupted too and refused to move.
The Swedes survived to fight another turn. Two very lucky circumstances gave me the chance to get the 4 BP needed to reach 20.
All that was left was for the militia that avoided being rear charged to fight a last melee...they lost but didn't get fragmented!

A very exciting and tough fight. The Danes will retreat back into their castle giving the Swedes the field and I'd say a Pyrrhic victory.

Flipping coin to decide which side has the initiative. Heads Swedish, tails Danish. Flipping… Heads. Swedish move first.
With the Swedish moving first there are no battles this round as Nerke Army moves away from Nerke before any Danish armies arrives.

I will update OOB and Strat map this weekend, then it's time to plan for phase 5. And then we will see the Danish king Kristian arriving with the first German mercenaries…

Danish 2. Bohus army will move to Nerke and merge with Orebro Garrison leaving 4 skirmishers, 4 crossbowmen & 2 bowmen as a garrison in Westra Gotaland.

Danish 3. Vasteras Garrison will send 2 Nobles, 1 soldier and 2 soldiers w/crossbow to merge with Skane Army.
