I have two challenges up against Dacians, perhaps try the other as well. This may be the issue.

Imperial Div B

Ironclad (Dom. Roman - western) 29/36 vs Caiko (Ostrogoths) 50/48

The initial action saw Roman mediums seize control of a ridge of steep cliffs from the Goth cavalry advance guard and then supported Roman cavalry attacking the enemy archer line, breaking them. The Goth main cavalry force joined the action focusing on the Roman heavies and Cats on the left whilst harrassed and shot at by the Roman mediums from the ridge. With the advantage of position the Romans inflicted heavy casualties - 26 break points to 0 but were weakened and somewhat disorganised when the Goth heavy infantry finally came up. The Goths then made considerable headway and closed the casualty gap rapidly but Roman discipline prevailed and enough units held to achieve a close win. Thanks for an exciting game.

Imperial Div B

flatsix518 (Sassanids) 11/32 vs Caiko (Ostrogoths) 52/48

Ostrogoths deployed with their cav on their left and foot on their right on an open battlefield. Sassanids were able to concentrate against the cav and defeat it before the Ostrogoth foot was seriously engaged.

Div C result

Lydianed (Ancient Brits) 35/41 vs Bagration (Palmyran) 41/34

Palmyran HF supported by some heavy horses attacked the Brits across some poor terrain and didn't get very far. British numbers allowed them to reinforce the front line more effectively than the Palmies. Elsewhere British LH took the Palmyran camp and a small force of British MF along with some cav and a couple of chariots were able to outmanouevre and destroy the cats operating on the Palmyran right. Where battle was joined it was brutal accounting for the high losses on each side. Great game Tom, thanks.

Has Caiko started any games as replacement for zumHeuriger (Classical div. B)?

If I don't hear from Caiko very soon, he'll be replaced as reserve for zumHeuriger.
