Thanks B. Hehe, grousing already, and you haven't even fought the beaches yet, lol!! The answer to that is easy. The Germans don't really have any "tough" units until 21Pz arrives next turn. They can shuffle around their VGs for regulars, but frankly if the Allies attack with 2 BGs per beach, and use their Naval Arty to liquidate the key bunkers, Allies should take 1-2 beaches no matter what's in there... I'm not sure how difficult this will be with just 1 BG per beach though... It should be VERY hard... But the Naval Arty will help... Will be interesting to see...

Hey Justin, Have just PMed you. Please delete and reload the Campaign. There was an error in the deployment area for the Allies on Sword (you'll find it was rather mean). I've corrected this and re-uploaded. Sorry and have fun!

Too quick to the punch, huh. lol.
Well, I got rid of the campaign file from my directory, but when I use the above link bit.ly , nothing appears.
It seems the game thinks I have it already. What now? I was guessing, maybe re-post with a new file name or path?
So it will let me re-download it?

Just a suggestion for the future...don't forget, each of these beaches was taken by just that one BG!

Hehe... the books I'm using have several BGs coming in together for each of the beaches... It was quite a busy day... Remember a battle group (BG) is only a brigade, not a full division...
For example, for Sword only...
http://www.6juin1944.com/assaut/sword/en_index.php wrote:The 3rd Infantry Division will make the initial assault :
- The 8th Brigade with the 1st South Lancashire and 2nd East Yorkshire, with tank support from the 13/18th Hussars, will land on Queen White and Queen Red and establish a beachhead.
- From the beachhead, the three battalions of the 185th Brigade, with support from the Staffordshire Yeomanry, will march on the city of Cean and capture it.
- The 9th Brigade will link up with the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division coming from Juno Beach and protect the right flank.
- Finally, Lord Lovat's 1st Special Service Brigade will capture Ouistreham and then link up with the 6th Airborne paratroopers at Bénouville and reinforce the brigehhead on the east side of the Orne river.
The real plan involved at least one full division per beach on June 6th alone... The idea of capturing Caen on the first day was probably somebody senior drinking too much coffee, or smoking too much dope, lol...

It does that when it thinks you've still got something... Throw away the entire GJS44 folder... and then restart BA... this should force it to download from new...

@Brummbar44, General, can you please update the map for each day with the players commanding each BG?
@Gotta, can you ask the Generals to give you BG commanders with the order of battle for each day? I think this is also an important factor especially on the long run, so that teams won't change BG leaders after seeing who's in charge of the other side in a certain sector. It's also important so Brummbar44 can update the map with the players' names, if possible.

Then where the heck are the rest of my brigades?! lol!
While we're on the subject, where are my SP's? I just noticed we don't have any priests...just out of curiousity, why were they left out? Were they too tough?

Good points KT. Will ask Commanders to add names to next orders. We went with first turn in a hurry, to get you all out and fighting.
Brummbar, Is there space to add BG commanders names to current Strat Map? From original GJS, it's definitely more fun if you stick with the same BGs... Feels like an achievement if you can get somewhere without killing them all!

Delayed until tomorrow... etc... Didn't want to make it too easy for you

SPs were removed from GJS and GJS'44, although they were definitely there on both sides for D-Day. They're just too powerful in BA. You've got Arty and Naval instead, plus aircraft when the weather is clear (70% chance). It's enough and it's more fun, promise.

Jon, who is fighting on Juno?? I do not want to make an "Open" match cause someone might have DLed this and will jump into play instead of the player that is supposed to.
Who is the Commander of 7/3cdn? So I can email you with the password for the battle.

The Germans must be in disarray already as reports are coming in about Allied paras dropping way inland. Hence they're not ready to man the beaches yet.

.
Seriously though, yes, we were given clear orders since we talked about the battle, that's why we have all set the games already, knowing where we're going to see action.
That map looks better and better. Nice!

Should be some good games...good luck all and have fun, wish I could play in any one of those! Either side!
But woe to those who come against the Winged Fury, those airborne are going to hold hard! That's where I'll be!
I'd like to invite GottaLoves88 to take one of those units. If everyone is ok with that?
