it was painful to watch really, Mac just couldn't get a break. Veteran Lancers repeatedly bouncing off my light spear medium infantry was a particular highlight.
Not as painful as it was for me, I don't think I won a single impact.

eric (Gal Macs) 9/32 vs batesmotel ( Rhox Sarm) 34/33
Chris/batesmotel lost a tc
I won initiative which was a major assist, woods on one flank the rest wide open, not a hill in sight.
If Chris had won and had hills it would have been a possible reversal in scores.

Man, it sure seems like a lot of dice games going on...thought they were going to work on that...or is that a fairy tale I heard? That is 2 for Mac...mine was the same way with the hot hand and came from behind...should have lost that game.

I believe they will attempt to remedy the rampant luck in the next version - which is some way off still, I think.

My Persians (17/34) beat Ian's Indo-Greeks 35/33.
Some of his troops rolled poorly, especially pikes, but a line of naked archers will always buckle when confronted by decent troops.

Battle report Year 1
Turk1964(Early Kyrenean)21/31 def Greetings44(Seleucids)24/23
No Camps looted and no commanders lost
An interesting game with battle being fought on top of a hill with a deep Ravine in the middle. To start the Kyremnean Armoured spearmen performed very ordinarily and looked as though it would be an easy victory to the Seleucids. The Kyreneans managed to get their act together and slowly dealt with the enemy Pikemen who looked indestructable to begin with.Despite the final score this was a close contest and if the Seleicids had an equal number of troops it would have turned their way. Well played Greetings and thanks for a challanging game.

Radio (Early Achachakka Persians (Later)) 20/20
vrs
Iandavidsmith (Early Sarmatian mercenaries) 6/34
Persians lost a Field General ( i think)
The Sarmation Lancers swarmed around the Persians , it just
wasn't the Persians day and some luck with the Sarmations dice rolls
ended the battle quickly.
Thanks for the game , Ian

Turk1964(Early Achaemanid Persian) 29/30 def Radio(Early Achaemanid Persian)39/36
Radios camp was looted
Turk Lost 1 troop commander
Both armies were cut to pieces in the fierce fighting and the EAPS of Turk emerged victorious only just. Thanks for an outstanding game where the winner wasnt decided until the very last turn. Thanks for the game Radio. Cheers Turk

i just checked the game Turk and i didn't lose any commanders, the troop commander who represents my sole concession to C&C is still alive and well in the centre of the table.

Fedem Early Greeks 11/28 vs Late Achaemenid Persian (Besso) Radio 20/20.
Both camps looted.
If the Commander BG vanishes because he is destroyed does it count as a Commander lost or only if the aaargh sound is heard?
If that is the case one troop commander of the Persians was lost.
After 17 turns we finally were able to catch the Cavalry Army.
Cheers!

OK then, I've taken the best of Eric's concubines and left the rest and goats for whoever wants them
As to games the only ones I'm aware of are
Two challenges from Batesmotel
Two Challenges from Tiavals
That's it, and it's been almost 4 weeks of this season. I know there is no time limit mentioned on games but chop chop fellas, the threat from the east has gone and the world is for the taking!
cheers

Boths camps looted and no Commanders lost.
The Mercs were able to use his cavalry archers and foot spearmen on a good way outnumbering the enemy on the left flank mostly and, first holding the centre and right flank with the Seleucids Pikes and the Lancers and after the hill that they were able to reach was well defended they started to push.
The foot archers were really accurate too.
Interesting battle.
Tks bates!
Cheers!
Hi Macsen!
My game against batesmotel is the one above.
My other attack was against Eric and I lost.
Been only attacked by Radio. That was my last game.
Cheers!

I have just concluded a fratricidal battle with iandavidsmith:
Gekko-Bactrians (deeter) 16/27 vs. Indo-Bactrians (IDS) 34/33
Gekkos are badder than Indos, I guess.
No camps looted nor commanders killed.
Good game!
Deeter
P.S. My game with Aristides is well advanced and should be over by the end of the week.
