The forces of the slave merchant Fedem have finally been driven away, despite the pre-emptive divination of Demetrios. The great Tribune Tiavals takes control of the slave market, to profit from all Roman victories henceforth.

Hi Kilroy,
you´ll get the attribute honest.
To Ericdoman.
You can set up battles, using any of the pre-assembled 400 pts armies if you prefer.
Cheers, Klaus

Roma non victor.
The slaves seem to worship the same gods as the Galatians!
(TJD will back me on this one - even my elites couldn't win fights!

Keyth's right. Amazingly poor dice. Keyth, a good sport to say the least, stated that he felt he was repaying a karmic debt rung up by recent good luck. If that's the case, the debt was paid twice over.
Dare I say: better luck next time? Well, you've got the assurance that it couldn't be worse!
Best

Hi Burinus Agricolae,
please challenge Tiavals, both sides should use Roman Mob Armies.
In case you beat his street gang, you´ll be assigned to the rank of a Quaestor.
Additionally you gotta get ready for training with the Proconsuls.
Cheers, Klaus

The Roman Senate announces:
Legatus Supervark defeated by Seleucus VII. Finally Seleucus was victorious against 4 Roman Legions.
King Alexander Jannaeus of Judea has surrendered to the Seleucids. The Senate is shocked at this humilating defeat.
All commanders are advised to successfully complete training for the upcoming campaigns to restore our reputation !
Both Proconsuls are to inform the Senate about progress of training. When one of the Proconsuls completes the first 4 training battles, he and his respective trainees will be assigned for the first of these campaigns !
Points awarded to
Supervark 1 pts

YUP, some of the preset armies actually are "Roman" DAG armies with allies to morph them into armies that arnt available in the ROR lists
My guess is you chose the "jewish" challenge which is a late roman dag with jewish ally
You might want to review the cotr preset armies to get an idea of their composition, cheers!

That's a thought I felt like a bit of a cheat when I downloaded the "Barbarian" armies and out of curiosity, took a quick peek. I think TJD and Demetrios, You should build different ones and keep them in a safeLOL. BTW is there a chance that we can customize our Roman armies? I sure do miss some mf.

Well first practice game has ended.
Ericus 13/30 (2135 casualties) vs Burinus 30/30 (2606 casualties).
From my knowledge of the game the losing side will normally have 33 to 35% casualty losses. As you can see with Burinus he had a lot less. Basically he failed a lot of tests which was unfortunate otherwise this game would have been a lot closer. Hopefully he learnt a few things as did I. Like where is my MF:)
I also noticed that we had an unfortunate encounter vs the Seleucids. It would be an honour to build an army and march against these barbarians.
I await further orders from the Senate

For the record, the armies are the sole creation of Klaus (Demetrios) as is the entire narrative. This is his tournament. I'm just helping him on the margins.
Best,
